Top-notch
Finally, we can just sit back and watch.
Goodbye, goodbye Laser Mouse! 😊
The automatic shut-off feature is absolutely brilliant!!

Super!
My tomcat (1 year old) loves the pointer and gets all excited as soon as I take it out. The device does indeed make a noise when the laser is in use, but in my opinion, it’s not bothersome at all. I also think it’s great that you can manually adjust the range of the dot using the mirror on top. Brilliant product!

Slow and noisy
The red laser dot is small, the device is slow and loud, so much so that my little cat was scared of it.

AWESOME toy for exercise!
I bought this laser cat toy for my cat to shed a few pounds. She is a very energetic cat, but by being indoors and in a small house, she doesn't get much exercise. I put this automatic laser cat toy (which looks like a modern robot- like a roomba!), I leave the room and I can hear her running round! I am so pleased that she is getting exercise and I hope this helps her to lose weight!

Best toy ever
i brought this at Christmas and it is the best investment ever.
I have 2 British Shorthair indoor cats, this is a big breed and as they are indoor trying to keep them active is a mission.
They love this toy so much that they sit and meow at it and me to turn it on. It is best if you can put it on a shelf or unit. I love that it turns itself off as well.
I highly recommend it and have had no problems with it.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY
My son bought two of these as Christmas gifts, one lasted 10 minutes before the motor failed, the other never worked. A waste of money, better off buying some catnip toys from The local pet store. Great idea very poorly executed!

Greatly loved while it lasted...
My cat (Heimdal) is very sad today because his 2nd favorite laser toy fell off the table and now won't move the laser around.
This toy is ok, he seemed to enjoy it while it worked. However, there are a few drawbacks to this one.
It's very fiddly, it only moves in 2 specific ranges. One is very far and one is too close. Placing this on the floor the circle only projects slightly in front of itself and adjusting the mirror puts it on the wall. So the solution is to put it on a table or windowsill.
This is a new set of challenges, you now have to find the exact spot of the -edge- of your table or sill. Otherwise the cat will only get to play half of the time.
Which is how mine found itself falling to the ground every time my laser loving cat tried to make the laser work. He discovered where the button was and started pushing his head into it. So of course, it makes it fall. Of course, anything will make something fall if it has to sit on the edge of a table.
The first fall made the mirror no longer stay in position, so we had to stuff a piece of paper in the slot to keep it positioned (only one position makes the laser stay on the ground) and that was literally on day two of owning this toy.
We've had this toy for 2 months and now it will only work in manual mode. And this is slightly unwieldy to use it that way.
So if you have a very curious cat who likes to investigate things (i.e. knock things off of tables sometimes) don't expect this to last very long. Also, when it falls on the ground all 4 batteries pop out. The cats found that amusing.
Otherwise, he really loved it and often would ask to play with it.

Conflicted
The device itself is still more interesting to my cat than the laser dot. You really have to be careful that the cat doesn’t look directly into the laser. I’m hoping I can find a better spot for it, so she ignores the device and focuses on playing.

Unfortunately, too loud
I thought the FoliCat was quite funny, my cats didn’t.
They were more interested in the loud noise than the laser. Sent it back.

Great idea, very average execution
Bodhi, our kitten loves chasing the laser dot from our little handheld mouse. (Also purchased from Zooplus and highly recommended!)
This should, in theory take all the effort out of making him chase around the room but unfortunately, as some others have mentioned the way the motor moves means that he often loses where it's shining. It's also difficult to find a place to site the device in our large lounge/diner which keeps the dot on the floor most of the time. It's also VERY noisy so if you're using it to try and distract him whilst you're watching TV or working from home it's not the best thing.
If they could allow you to have more control over the speed and direction of movement and make it a bit quieter I'd happily pay twice as much but as it is it's of limited use for us

Can't agree with the previous speakers...
I've been using this toy for several years now (of course not in summer, as it's too bright then) and have always purchased it via zooplus. Just today, I brought them out again (I use two, each set up individually). I now have four tomcats, including a baby who will turn 5 months old this Sunday! Three of them are racing around and 'searching'. I think it's brilliant. My Mori is lying on the scratching post and watching... (Mori, 6 years old, is more of the laid-back, easygoing type of cat). For me, it's a solid 5 stars!

So this thing is/was a complete flop. Pretty unstable and totally boring for my two kitties!! Not recommended!!

Great toy.
My cats go absolutely crazy for the laser; the noise from the FroliCat Bolt doesn’t bother us at all.
I hold the Bolt in my hand during playtime so I can control the direction.
With very curious cats, you shouldn’t leave the laser unattended. My cat always wants to check where the red light is coming from and ends up looking directly into the small mirror, and thus into the laser light.

My two absolutely love the laser!
The FroliCat Bolt Laser is simply brilliant...
It is quite loud, but my two are already going crazy as soon as they hear the motor in the other room. :) I can barely look before they’re there, "killing" the laser. ;)
I always have to stop them because they would chase it until they drop. :D It’s really wonderful to see my two so happy. :) ...and it makes me happy too, watching them.
A second setting (button?) would be great!!! Without the motor – for manual control. :)

That was well worth it.
Great device for entertaining the little darlings.
After some initial difficulties with setting up the device, I can now enjoy my breakfast in peace in the mornings and read my newspaper while the little diva gets warmed up with her personalised entertainment programme. Even when I don’t have time to look after my princess, the device does a great job. The build quality is solid, and after about two months, it’s still running on the first set of batteries. The only downside was the motor noise, which was a bit annoying at first, but now I don’t even notice it anymore. The running cycle lasts 15 minutes and can be started or stopped with a simple press of a button.
Conclusion: All in all, a great device, though it shouldn’t replace personal attention.

At first great, but soon too boring
At first, my tiger found the laser really interesting, though it was a bit loud! Over time, however, he just gets bored with it, so you have to take a break for a few days, and then he’ll chase after the laser again!

Peace at last!!!!!
Fabulous!!! My delivery has just arrived and couldn't wait to set up the FroliCat Bolt Laser Cat Toy... My youngest, 2yr old cat is having a wonderful time chasing the red dot... and giving me some peace to work!! Best toy ever!!!

FroliCat Bolt Laser... unfortunately very loud
My cat loves laser pointers, so I decided to go for this laser.
Strangely enough, my little one didn’t find this laser that great at first. The downside, in my opinion, is the noise caused by the movement.
What I do like is the timer function.

best cat toy ever!
My two critters have very low boredom thresholds but this toy gets them going every time! One cautionary note: this toy is not silent & the noise eventually attracted the attention of one of my cats! It was up where she couldn't reach it - best leave it out of reach is my advice!
