Not too sure...my Tetratec 700 arrived today, got it set up and wasn't too impressed by the flow rate. Worked it out to be running just under 600lph. Maybe when it's fully cycled the filtration quality will make up for this, just need to wait and see... As for Zooplus, could not ask for a better service. Excellent communication, great price and 3 day delivery from Germany to Scotland. Very highly recommended company!

don't believe the hypeI have an ex1200 fitted to my tank the filter is overall very good but doesn't deliver anywhere near the stated flow rate. I actually measured the output of mine at less than 400litres per hour. This is after it had just been cleaned out and with the head height of 1.2 metres is well within the maximum stated of 1.8m for this filter. The unit is less than a year old and still fitted with the original media.

this is the besti own two of these external filters the 700 and the 1200 both are excellent and easy to clean keep my tanks crystal, my fish are ecstatic. also this price is great

Money well spentI was worried about buying the wrong filter and bought this based on the positive reviews. This filter is a quality solid build. It is quiet and in a cupboard I can't hear it at all. The filtration is excellent and best of all it works quickly and effectively in getting the water quality to healthy levels. I put mine in a new tank with 20 fish, not generally best practice, but in less than two weeks of use it has got the bacteria doing a good job and new tank syndrome is no longer a concern. Fit and forget, recommended.

ex700i replaced my internal filter with this exellent filter , wher i had to clean my tank every week now i can leave it months at a time and the water is still clear and clean, also the quality and vast range of fish i can now keep due to the great water is amazing as they seem to be doing well and happy. this is an amazing filter that would benefit any tank.

ExcellentPrompt delivery, well packaged, overall excellent service. I will definitely be using Zooplus again. First time I’ve used an external filter but the ease of setting up was brilliant, no more unsightly big black canisters spoiling the natural look of my tank.

Tetratec ~Ex.1200I own 5 of the above External filters, they are efficient, quiet, and very easy to use, with the special pump start, a three year old could learn to use this, and easy to clean. My tanks always look brilliant. I have had many of my friends say "how do you keep your tanks looking so good." I open the door of the cupboard below, and low and behold " a Tetratec 1200" fabulous.

ex 1200have ex 1200 with my 100l turtle tank. very silent keeps water crystal clear an odourless which is very difficult with turtles for very long.

Tetratec EX 700This unit is simply superb, very quiet and very rugged. It came with a 3 year guarantee and going by the quality i've no doubt it will last many years beyond that. It was easy to set-up and I could notice a change in water clarity within a few hours. I was not able to find this unit cheaper elsewhere and Zooplus delivered the order very quickly. Well done!

Fault developed after few monthsWhen I first got the filter it seemed like a great product. After three or four months it has developed a fault. It started to make a rattling noise. I contacted zooplus. They don't carry the spare parts such as the spindle on the motor. I had to replace it from another site. It was back to being silent. However after a few weeks its started to make a noise again. So far its been a hassle. If i have to send the whole unit back how will I keep the water filtered?

Great FilterUpgraded from my internal to the EX600. Great filter especially for the price. Easy to put together and very very quiet. I have it in my bedroom and cant hear it. Very quick delivery, ordered on a Sunday night and arrived Thursday morning!

EX 700 - Superb!Originally had two Aqua flow internal filters for my turtle aquarium and I was still getting dirty water within a week and a stench after two until I purchased this beast. Absolute must buy if you want a clean, odur free tank for weeks on end. Extremely quite and very compact in terms of media compartments. I wish I saw this before I wasted money on a load of internal ones.

Brilliant filter EX700Delivery (FREE!!!) to the UK from Germany has taken 7 days. Awesome price!!! Installation was very easy. I have mopani wood in my tank and water was like a tea (brown colouring). Within 24hours water was perfect clear free of brown colour! Incredible!
