One settled Shepadoodle Puppy!
We had a hard time trying to find food to satisfy our Shepadoodle's (German Shepherd x Standard Poodle)sensitive stomach.
We tried all the usual supposed 'top' dog food range (which most are owned by Pedigree under a different name btw) and this is the only food he could take (apart from fresh chicken and rice.) These guys have done their research regarding ingredients, but I would prefer if they totally got rid of the Beet Pulp.
I still like to add fresh rice and add it to his Arden Grange Puppy/Junior Large Breed Chicken & Rice dried food. He's thriving on it - formed easy to pick up poo's!
He's now 8 months old and he's getting huge, and I will keep him on this until he's 12 months, then will move over to their adult food.
This food is suitable for dogs that are prone to hip problems (most large breeds are whether cross bred or not) as it has essential ingredients, but you have to restrict exercise and no stair walking in the first year at least (buy a stair gate).
Another tip to dog owners - if your dog/puppy has a sensitive stomach, gradually introduce this food with freshly cooked rice, say 3/4 rice, a quarter Arden Grange and spread this over 7/10 days gradually increasing the Arden Grange and reducing the fresh rice. I still give my puppy fresh rice mixed as he likes it and it bulks his food up.
