I bought this scratchpost once before in 2016.. it was amazing.. took the weight of a 10kg Mainecoon no problem and lasted until early 2020 with constant use from 7 cats small to large.. I have purchased it again in 2020, the price was £46.99 (now showing at £39.99 again).. the post is thinner, the sisal ropes are also thinner and not wound as tight so it is showing signs of wear and tear already, this time only my own 5 smaller cats using it.. there is gaps between the rope binding too..

Especially for the little climber in your life
It's big and takes some hefting to move for the cleaner, but it keeps junior happy so that's all that matters. He can jump to the top from standing and give the sides a pounding with his claws. What you might call a howling success.

Tall and sturdy scratch post
The best scratch post I’ve purchased. My dexter climbs and sits at the top. Cookie uses it as scratch post. Strong and sturdy product. I’ve had it 2 years and it’s still wearing well.

Huge!! But awesome!
Pay attention to the dimensions! At 56cm tall and 11kg, it’s a tower! I paid no attention to the dimensions and had a good laugh when I realised how gigantic this was. It would suit a lion or tiger! Our cat wasn’t sure about it, so it now lives in a friend’s house. His cat loves it, launches himself at it and climbs to the top! 😻 So it’s definitely a success! 😊😻

Our Bengal cat just loves this
I bought this as although my sons cat loves her trees both at home and at my house she does mot use the scratching part at my home and prefers to stretch with he claws and climbed up my furniture. So I bought this and delivered today and she just loves it.

Great for big cats!
I have two Maine Coon/Ragdoll cross brothers - they’re big cats. This is the first scratching post I have found which is heavy and sturdy enough to take the weight of a 10kg cat climbing his way up it without it wobbling precariously.
Sure it’s big, but not as intrusive as a full cat gym. My boys got straight on it. Brilliant!

Quality great but is massive!
Be aware this is huge and will take over your room - in our house we call it "The Shard" after the London skyscraper! Someone new walked in and asked if we had a tiger or a cat!
However, its great quality and our cat loves it and its her house so what the hell...

Doesn't last
Was really pleased with this at first as it was nice and tall and seemed really sturday. Unfortunately my small Siamese cat has already torn the sisal covering apart after less than a year so not as strong as it looks.

It's huge!
Once I got over the fact that it's massive, it's sturdy and really well made. The furbies have taken to it straight away and have already attempted to scale to the top.

Great for large cats.
This is a great scratching post for large cats, we have two Ragdolls and this is a good size for them. It seems to be sturdy, well made and good quality. It comes in a very large box (4ft x 2ft x 1ft) so keep that in mind when you decide where to get it delivered (maybe not your work place!) On the plus side, our cats also love the box!

Best cat scratch post
WOW, best scratch post, ideal for our two Bengal cats. After 2 mins of putting it together, both cats scaled to the top. Would recommend to anyone :0)

Best Christmas Present
I have 2 cats, one tiny (2.6kg) Tonkinese girl who runs up the curtains, and a huge Burmese cross boy, who is 7kg. My poor boy has to sit to scratch the scratching barrel that they have (he pulls over normal posts), so I thought I'd try this. They love it-they both run up it like a tree; we've had no more curtain climbing and Bowmore (the boy) can stretch fully to scratch-they are so happy! Best purchase and v reasonably priced!

In 1 Year Sisal Coming Away & Ruined
I always review after 6-8 from purchase to give an honest review. I love the huge size & thickness of sisal on this.
However, in under 1 year since purchase the sisal has been ripped away & torn everywhere.
I have 2 average sized domestic strays cat & 1 8kg domestic stray cat, who are outdoor cats, thus not over used as they love scratching real trees outside more!
I expected expected this scratch post to last a lot longer & evidently the quality is NOT good as DOES NOT last long!

Good quality post
This is a good strong post that is withstanding lots of use from my cats, three of whom are big i.e. nfc's. I used to buy the cheaper jumbo post but they didn't last five minutes. I would definitely recommend this one. One small moan, the fluffy cap at the top isn't fixed on so falls off when the cats climb to the top, otherwise it's a good product.
