Used twice to carry my 6kg cat to the vet. Useless

Walked r/t 3 kms twice with a 6kg cat. Second time metal frame poked through and almost had the vets out! Because I'm not using this frequently as it's only for a well cat visit I cannot return as its over 14 days. I DO NOT recommend and very disappointed with the quality.

Fits perfectly

The bag is well-made, and our Maine Coon cats have plenty of space during transport. We're happy with the purchase.

Super

The bag is great for the price. The quality is just as good, and the shipping was fast – I was very satisfied. Unfortunately, it’s too big for the plane, so I had to return it. Highly recommended.

Even the cat likes it...

... and sometimes at home, she even curls up inside it to sleep 🪶🤍. I didn’t expect the bag to be so well received, and the cat even enjoys a walk to the vet in it 👌🤍.

Improved!

I breed Burmese so plenty Vet visits! Additionally, my girls very much dislike being enclosed in hard sided carriers on long journeys to shows or stud but have no complaints in these. Being collapsible they're also very easy to store and defy escape attempts. Replacing the two I bought over a decade ago and pleased to say the material is much thicker and more robust than previously. Friend also bought these for her two Chihuahuas, for containing them in the car, so great for small dogs too.

Trixie Friends on Tour Carry Bag Ryan

I can only praise this carrier bag for cats. I have two very large Persian cats (1 male, 1 female, the male weighs 8.5 kg and the female 7.5 kg). The load is 12 kg. Nothing has ever happened. Brilliant bag for the price – simply top-notch!!

Not suitable for cats

Unfortunately, the bag is unstable, at least for my cats, who weigh no more than 4 kg. A simple nudge with their nose is enough to open the zip. Not ideal when you're alone in the car with your cat.

Lightweight for transport

This is my second bag; the first one has been in use for years. I can't stress this enough: don't immediately close the net. It's always the same mistake owners make—place a cushion or blanket inside and leave it open. After a few weeks, when the cat feels comfortable, close the flap and carry it around the flat for a bit. Then set it down, open it, and reward with treats. I have a cat who still won't let herself be touched after 14 months, but she now willingly goes into the bag. Nele does it on her own now.

Mixed feelings

I’ve bought this bag twice already: it’s nice and spacious, even my chunky cat (almost 7kg) fits in perfectly without being squashed. It’s very lightweight, making it easy to carry, the price is great, and it’s easy to store. So why am I only giving it 3 stars? The big downside of this bag is that the mesh windows can be torn open by cats. Now that this has happened for the second time, I won’t be buying it again.

Perfect for transporting rescue dogs

We now use several of these bags for flying our rescue dogs to their new homes. They might be too large for some airlines, but most aren’t too strict about it, and you can easily send them back along with the larger crates afterwards. Absolutely great value for money!

Suitable for kittens

At first, I was totally thrilled. The bag looked great, was lightweight, and it was super easy to transport the cats. Now that both of them are six months old, however, they've managed to tear the mesh and ended up climbing around the car during the drive. For kittens, the bag is fantastic, but as soon as the cats get bigger, unfortunately, it's absolutely unsuitable.

Too unstable

I thought the bag looked great when it was delivered – but I never even got the chance to use it myself, not even once. I lent it to a friend straight away, and the bag didn’t even survive its first use. His cat (by the way, a smaller and less muscular female) tore it apart during the car ride to the vet and then ran around the car in a panic. Maybe the bag could be used for small kittens, but definitely not for adult cats.

Excellent

Don't know why people are saying it isn't strong enough for their 6kg cat. it has been used multiple times by my male maine coon that weighs 9kg. it has not bent. who would use the shoulder strap to carry a cat anyway? improper use is what breaks things!

Shopping bag

Overall, not a bad product, but unfortunately my tomcat scratched quite heavily inside the transport bag and often got his claws caught in the fabric mesh. Additionally, the bag cannot be fully closed at the top with a zip but instead has a small piece of Velcro, which isn’t much of a barrier for an animal that wants to escape.

Poor

After just a few minutes, the grid was chewed through and the cat managed to escape. It completely fails to serve its purpose as a secure means of transport. Very cheap workmanship. I wouldn’t buy it again.

Cheap

I also have a bag from another, admittedly much more expensive manufacturer. Comparing both bags, this one is cheap and was already bent and damaged before its first use because my cat jumped on it. By the way, my cat weighs 5.5 kilos. The wires meant for stabilisation tore out of their intended "anchors". Such a shame! I'd rather go back to the more expensive but far more durable model!

Very poor workmanship

After the fourth use, the fittings of the struts came loose on one side at the top, and at the same time, the zip tore at the front. There are just too many flaws. This bag was given to me as a gift. The bag my friend has is still in tip-top condition today. That model is older but better made. Better to spend a bit more for something that's better quality.

Thrilled!

After my little tomcat dismantled his plastic carrier, I had to come up with something, and this transport bag was just perfect! There's nothing he can break out of or hurt himself on, and he's already accepted it—he's even using it as a den here at home.
