Kattovit Low Protein K-Rezeptur cat food differs from conventional foods in the following ways:
- Reduced protein levels and increased non-protein calories: High protein levels can be harmful to the kidneys. The amount of energy in relation to the protein content is crucial. In contrast to conventional cat foods just half the energy in Kattovit Low Protein is provided by protein.
- Neutral pH: Food enriched with potassium reduces acidity in the urine, which therefore helps to prevent the formation of kidney stones.
- Low phosphor: Contains a reduced content of phosphor and calcium.
