Using for DegusThis was good for my degus for a while but they soon decided (as they always do) to gnaw away at the wood closest to the part that attaches it to the cage. Sort of like a man sawing off the branch that he's sitting on! They did like the wood and enjoyed gnawing it, so I had to tie it to the bars instead. As it's supposed to be for birds, it would be a great product when used for it's proper purpose, but some people do like to use stuff meant for birds for rodents and I thought I'd let them know what my pets did to it.

Eggcellent!I have tried many many perches and also used our own apple trees for branches although they are great I find the Y-perch even better, in a way, as its so much easier to attach and doesn't fall off like the ones I make. Being natural and with various thickness its great for preventing foot cramps I even use them in the outside aviary and they last about 6 months before the elements get to them. Affordable too so replacing them isn't a problem. My tiels love them.

An excellent perchthis perch is great, my cockatiels really like them, also they like to have a nibble now and then which is much safer with wood than horrible plastic!! great price too!!!

Good for the feetOllie loves to chew this easy to fit and can put it where you like I have changed all his perches instead of having to fight with trying to place the ones you get with the cage

Highly RecommendedExcellent perch for any bird. Birds love to chew and wipe their beak on their perches. Because this is wood and not any sort of plastic, it is much more fitting - and less dangerous - for them to do this. My lovebirds love theirs. Be warned that if you're going to use yours for a chewy African Grey, you may have to replace them a lot. They sure get through them quick. Also, this is probably the best price I've seen for this sort of perch around.
