Concept for Life Veterinary Diet Hypoallergenic - Insect at a glance:

  • Scientifically-based nutrition which supports veterinary therapy
  • Top-quality raw ingredients ensure it is well-accepted, and very digestible
  • Made in Germany.
Concept for Life Veterinary Diet Hypoallergenic - Insect is a premium complete dry food for adult cats which suffer from nutritional sensitivities, intolerances and dermatosis. Many cats have an adverse reaction to some foods, ingredients or additives. This can result in nutritional intolerances and allergies. When your cat has an allergic reaction to food it is because the immune system is overreacting to certain proteins. Food intolerance is not connected to the immune system. Both allergies and intolerances can cause skin and digestive problems such as itching and diarrhoea.

The best way to establish the cause of food intolerance is to put your pet on an elimination or exclusion diet with limited ingredients and a selected source of animal protein. Skin issues are not just caused by intolerance to certain foods but also a reaction to flea saliva or the environment. A diet with top quality fatty acids helps to support healthy skin.

How can Concept for Life Veterinary Diet Hypoallergenic help your cat?
This premium therapeutic food has been specifically developed to meet the nutritional needs of cats that suffer from food intolerances, allergies and skin problems. In order to reduce the possibility of raw ingredient and nutrient intolerance the only source of protein in this food is dried insect. Excluding commonly used animal protein from your pet's diet helps to lessen the risk of an adverse reaction. to help support skin function in dermatosis and excessive hair loss, this food is enriched with salmon oil which is particularly high in omega-3 and omega 6 fatty acids. Sunflower oil also provides valuable linoleic acid.

Concept for Life Veterinary Diet – tailored therapeutic nutrition for your cat.

Contraindications:

Depends on the cat?
I’ve got two cats. One of them started throwing up the first couple of days on this food, now he seems to tolerate it. The other cat was okay (he has FHS), but now after 10 days on this food he has started throwing up too! I’m mixing it with regular food to check if they can tolerate alone. They seem to like it though!

Was brillant before price hikes
Ive fed this to my two Siberian Forest cats for a few years, and it was great for their digestion and for the environment. But the price has been steadily increasing to the point where it's not worth the cost, even when buying in bulk.

Cars didn't like it
My cats aren't very fussy, but 3 of the 5 didn't like this one. They are used to insect based food, but this one just wasn't to their taste

Helped with our senior cat's allergy
Our senior cat started to get very itchy skin and hair loss from a suspected food allergy. We made a few changes to his diet (sticking to one pouch brand and removing cat milk as a regular treat) as well as changing his biscuits to these and his skin is so much better! He's quite fussy eater but has been enjoying these since we introduced them and hasn't shown any signs of getting bored with them. We're just ordering a second 3kg pouch and would definitely recommend them.

Amazing for cat with IBD
My cat has been poorly for a year or so with very bad symptoms vomiting, bloating, flatulent, diarrhoea and constipation. Nothing stated down. He’s been in an elimination diet. I’d tried royal canin hypoallergenic but found this still face him wind and diarrhoea. This is amazing!!!! We’ve gone from poo everywhere to firm poos back in the litter box and a very content happy cat. Can not rate this enough!!!

Astonishing improvement in cats digestive health
One of my cats has suffered with IBD for over two years. I had almost given up seeing any improvement after trying every cat food and medication from the vet. Within five days of switching to these biscuits it's like I have a new cat! No more diarrhoea, stink or mess everywhere. He's more active and seems genuinely happier. The food seems initially expensive but is actually saving me over £20 a month!. I have just ordered the 3 bag bundle, as I know it works. Highly recommended :)

Life saving, no more dihorrea!
I got a hymalayan kitten. He was given to me without his food so that I could slowly introduce him to anything else so I fed him royal canin kitten, for nearly 2 months of having dihorrea I decided to buy this. I didnt slow introduce as he already had a bad gut and instantly he stopped having this horrible light coloured diorhea to dark solid poop. He likes the taste. My other 4 cats like it as well so it's a big winner!

Both cats sick
Both of my allergic cats need non-poultry food, so I thought that this would be ideal when their rabbit-based food was discontinued. They both thoroughly enjoyed the food, but both were vomiting daily, even after a slow introduction. I have now given in and will use a hydrolysed diet since this clearly isn't suitable for them.

So happy this exists!
My British Shorthair developed a sudden allergy to chicken and scratched a lot of fur off her body and had ear mite infection at the same time. I tried this out of desperation and her scratching stopped and she's in recovery. Not only has this probably saved her life but it's also much better for the environment. I highly recommend this cat food!

No allergic reactions
Stopsl & Rambo react to standard dry food with skin irritation and by losing hair. With this they have no issues and it tastes great too !! We can definitely recommend it.

Efficient and easy to digest
It's nothing groundbreaking but after two months of feeding this almost exclusively (this hunter just loves rodents) I have noticed an improvement. Less scabs, less alopecia, less frantic itching, and perfect digestion. Having 4 cats, the novelty value got all of them interested and everyone wanted a piece of the action ! The kibble is a little small in my opinion, so they are hoovered up rather than crunched which can be detrimental in the long run.

My cat with chronic enteritis digests it well
All three of my cats eat it with gusto, and the most delicate one with chronic stomach inflammation, who vomits from any food, seems to like it and, most importantly, does not throw it back up. I am pairing it with the wet food Specific Cat FIW - Digestive Support which is phenomenal. We hope it stays like this.

Cat and owner love them
I bought the sample pack for my cat who has IBD as the prescribed food has very little protein in. Thankfully my cat loves them and her stomach does too, I bought the full size bag, which she’s been eating for a month now. As a vegetarian and environmentalist I feel more comfortable feeding my cat insects than animals. The kibble is small so it takes her longer to eat which is good as she wolfs her food down. All round, a great product for cat, me and farmed animals.

new favourite
after a lengthy transition this food has proved very popular and easy to digest. it smells nice and the kibble is just the right size for all different cats (teeth or not)... insects are animals too.... but they are a great alternative/supplement to regular cat food...in case it's not being used for allergies etc...

Perfect for delicate cats
I have tried lots of different foods, this is by far the best for Canica. No throwing up and she's doing great.

Very easy to digest
My Madonna is highly allergic, and she is also intolerant to lots of common ingredients. She struggles to find any food that suits her. But we have had no problems with this one ♥

cat with FIV and dermatitis
Baboo: fiv positive cat with dermatitis and skin itching due to a long antibiotic therapy. I'm treating it with this kibble, the horse-based wet food from the same brand to which I add the Aloeplus syrup. These three foods he eats with great appetite, and they are greatly improving his condition. He is scratching much less, no blood comes out of the wounds, and the scabs are falling off; the hair will grow back soon. Note: 5 out of 10 cats like the kibble.
