accepted by a fussy cat
I was worried about finding a kidney diet food that my cat will eat as she is very fussy. She is still happy with all of these after a month and it has a good texture. Her health is improving - now all I have to do is persuade her to stop scavenging!

Awful! Made my cats sick and vomiting!
After thorough research and looking to find pork-free cat food that supports kidney function I order this BUT it has been awful & disappointing! Made both of my 2 cats sick and vomiting! Never again!

Salmon
Please never stop selling this salmon flavour zooplus! After trying so many kidney foods, this is the only thing my cat will eat well! The salmon is absolutely preferred as she's always loved her fish prior to kidney diagnosis. she eats some of the chicken flavour, but says it's not as nice!

Starvation is preferred
This may be less about the product than my cat's fussiness. Only once before has he been so averse to eating a wet cat food, preferring to eat crumbles instead, which is unheard of. None of the flavours could tempt him, and we had to mix a McDonalds (Purina) type food to tempt him. When a cat is already losing weight, anything that interrupts his intake is not helpful. Will definitely not be buying again.

Very poor quality cat food
I purchased this product for my two very elderly cats with renal problems. There is very little meat content and large amounts of lumps of fat. Neither cat will eat it and I have requested a refund. Zooplus should not be selling products of such poor quality.

Good quality pate.
Since my cat was diagnosed with chronic kidneys disease, it became really difficult to feed him healthy as the renal food range is very limited. I bought this pate just to give it a go and to see whether it might be something my cat would be interested in. Important to know that my cat never was a big fan of pate, he would rather prefer chunks in gravy. At the moment, he is eating this pate if there is no other food around. He would choose chunks or dry food if it was offered though.

senior cat with ckd
17+ cat losing weight and appetite no matter what foods I am offering, until this Beaphar Renal Diet mixed pack. Although he loves the Taurine best, he will eat any of the flavours with much more enthusiasm than any other foods I still offer him, even ones he used to favour. His health seems to have improved dramatically since feeding him this, plus extra vitamin paste. I feel he could last much longer now, though I thought he was a gonner a few months ago.

this made my cat ill
At first I thought this was a good food for my elderly cat but it's so rich, (you'll see the fat in the bottom of the tray) it gave her an upset stomach and made her so dehydrated she spend 24 hrs on a drip so if you want to try it introduce it gradually. I don't buy it at all now.

Finally eating something!
My 13 year old Burmese was diagnosed with ckd 3 years ago. She refused Hills & Royal Canin, specific, smilla, Calibra, Purina, pro plan, concept for life, Sanimed & trovet - which is j evrey brand you can buy in the UK! For three years she ate Porta21 holistic chicken & Tuna which has similar phosphorus to a renal diet, BUT, Zooplus do not stock it regularly, so, I thought I would try a few mixed packs of Beaphar. I put a spoonful of the pollack next to her Porta & she ate it all up!

Incredible Enthusiastic Cat
Our recently adopted 16 year old cat had begun firmly rejecting supermarket pouch food. She was constantly hungry and looking for other food. A recent blood test indicated early stages of renal issues. I tried two of the known brands of renal pouches recommend by our vet. They were expensive, and no more meat content than the supermarket brand. But most importantly, Sidney didn't like them. So I ordered a pack of the Beaphar Chicken. She is now eating for England. Far higher meat content too.

A refreshing alternative to high gravy content pouches
My cat has been suffering from Chronic Kidney Failure for some time now. Finding food that he will eat consistently has been a problem. He tends to just lick the gravy off and leave the meat chunks. These mouses are perfect as he eats the whole thing. I only wish they came in bigger packs.

My cats would not eat
I have 2 sixteen year old cats, one of whom had renal failure. Bought these and vet said specialist renal diet might help turn his kidneys around. Neither of my cats would touch it. Cats w kidney disease can be very fussy eaters and I decided to try a wide range of products so I could swap around when they got tired on one or didn't like it. This was a definite "didn't like". Can't comment on efficacy for renal support, as Kaspar died from kidney failure within a few weeks of my purchase.

A Good Varierty of Flaours for Once!
Like many reviewers on here I was recommended Hills or Royal Canin by my vets but my cat turned his nose up at Hills. After hours of research I found Beapher so thought I'd give it a go and am glad I did. It looks and smells much more llike 'proper' cat food and most of the time my cat will eat it, although sometimes he flatly refuses although I think this could be due to a tooth issue. My reason for giving only 4 stars is that there are hard lumps in some packs which I have to remove first

My cats would not eat
I bought this to try to tempt my kitty with renal failure to eat. I would not even try it. His sister, who is OK health-wise, also would not eat it. Waste of money. He died 8 January 2019. R.I.P.

My Kitty is eating again!!!
I got back to my parents place after a 4 month trip travelling. My mum told me our 18 year old cat Molly has kidney failure and that she was barely eating or drinking. I was following Molly around with the recommended food from the vets but she hated it and it gave her the squits. I just fed her her first bowl of Beaphar and I've never seen her eat so much food at once. She absolute wolfed it down, I'm nearly crying from relief. I'm mixing up the pate with water to try to keep her hydrated too.

Beaphar Renal Diet
My dear cat, aged 15, has to have renal diet food and rejected other brands - this one, however, he loves. Great relief for me and hopefully better kidney health for him.
