The flexi Giant Professional dog lead is a robust and compact retractable lead for large dogs. It allows your dog up to 10m of freedom to move about, and simple push of the thumb engages the stop lock, making it easy to control your dog. You also have added security at night thanks to the high-viz neon yellow coloured lead.
This sturdy lead is designed for large, strong dogs weighing up to 50kg, and is ideal for walks in the park or other open spaces. The soft grip makes it comfortable to hold.
The flexi Giant Professional dog lead is a 10 metre yellow retractable lead that moves freely in and out of the casing, so that your dog can move entirely independently from you. The retraction mechanism ensures at all times that the lead does not slack and you can stop the movement of the lead at any time using the button near your thumb.

Got a very strong, high hunting instinct akita. He's broke away from me a couple of times to chase squirrels and the 'hand hold' has smashed into trees breaking the plastic guides ... then the tape just ravels all over stopping the retraction. Wish it was (for the price, strongest on the market) a bit more resilient.

Super
Really great long lead for our selectively deaf dog. Gives him lots of freedom and the chance to practise his recall safely.

tape nearly snapped in 1 week!
Honestly - this tape lead is not fit for purpose. In fact I'd say it's dangerous. Our dog bit half way through the tape in the space of 5 bites at it.
Literally cut half way through it. The dog is still being trained for pulling and I hate to think what would have happened if it had snapped near busy traffic. We walk a lot near a busy main road, and the dog is young and has little road sense. It was lucky that we noticed this or we could have had a real tragedy on our hands.

Disappointing
I have had one of these leads previously (when they were all grey without the yellow) and it lasted me quite some time, however after just 2 weeks of getting this one, the tape near the clip is so worn off (I assume due to the plastic bit at the end that keeps rubbing it) that I can’t use this anymore as it will snap anytime now and I can’t risk it to have my puppy escape or run onto the road. Not impressed considering that I’ve spent so much money for 2 weeks of using this lead...

Excellent
Couldn't be without one of these leads. They are lightweight, but very, very strong. Really good quality. Excellent control for my dog with not very good recall. Nice light lead (rather than material ones that get very heavy and drag when wet).

Fantastic lead
I had mine for over a year now. wery few problems with it. The line twistet a few times, but easy to fix. I use it every day. its strong and fast at roling back. I like the line not burning your skin like the thin lines on other models do. Yes its a little heavy, but hold it like a shopping bag down the side of your body then its easy to walk with for a long time.
The 10 meters is nice, but i wish for a even longer one. 15 - 20 m.

Great product but weighs a ton!!!!!
This is a great lead, the neon is very bright, retraction is smooth, but it could be used as a lethal weapon! It weighs a ton! I dread to think what happens if it gets wet! I will not worry about walking late at night anymore - this would easily do damage to potential attackers! I would not buy it again, purely due to weight / size of the unit, but I guess thats what you get if you want a 10m lead....

Already not working
At the beginning I though it was such a great product, after just 3 weeks of use, the mechanism that secures the tape lead is broken.

clip springs fail
I have had two sets of these for my two dogs and although a great sturdy lead at first the same failure occurs over a period of only a few months. the spring in the clip fails leaving a dog loose and on the run, very dangerous I feel. this issue needs to be rectified as other leads I use have much better quality clips.

Long and strong
Good lead can be short for on heel training and good to allow freedom in situations where being off lead could be dangerous and maintaining full control.
Gets heavier when wet and can pick up dirt as the weight of water makes the extended tape touch the ground when raining. but overall I'm very satisfied.

Spring does not last
Great until the spring goes (after only 2 months )expected a lot nore for £55 AVOID unless you can afford £250 a year for a lead

Husky
Brilliant lead I would recommend it, the only problem I have is the mental clip that you attach to your dogs collar wears out at the bit that spins attached to the lead. I do have a husky though and she does run until she runs out of lead and this wears it out. The lead how ever has never broken or fraid. I will be getting another one soon. ps I like the idea of the hi viz but think it will get dirty, I would have got another grey one it they were selling it.

Best retractable lead for keeping control
I've had my flexi for years and still going strong, yes , a bit heavier but it's gotta be to withstand the strain day in day out, occasionally I wipe the tape down and leave to dry before rewinding ,not a fray in sight, now I have 2 dogs around the 40kg mark and rather than struggling with 2 I would like to think that a dual tape or thin but strong cord in one cassette would be possible as they're not boisterous but need to roam safely ,feel a bit like John Wayne with one in each hand😃

BRILLIANT !!!!!
I use the 8 metre flexi lead it holds my bull mastiff, ridgeback, and bull terrier. Ive had mine for 1 year plus, never use it on the street, and is excellant for certain types of training i.e tracking, scent work etc.....

Excellent
This is lead is ideal for when you are walking in unfamiliar areas. Your dog can explore but is still safe if the unexpected happens. In fact this is so good I've had to order more for the people I walk with! That's 6 big gsd's!
