Applaws Dry is a unique complete diet for adult cats. It simulates the natural diet of a cat in the wild in a dry kibble form. Cats are carnivores and their digestive system is adapted to thrive on a diet high in natural animal proteins. The natural cat diet only contains 1 to 5 % plant content from the intestines of prey. The cereals found in many other dry pet foods cannot be utilised and are difficult to digest for cats. Surplus carbohydrates are not saved but are converted into glycogen or fat. The result can be obesity, liver or pancreas disease and even diabetes.
The Applaws Mixed Trial Pack contains:
400g Applaws Chicken
400g Applaws Chicken & Salmon
Features of Applaws Cat Food at a glance:
80% meat content
20% vegetables and natural extracts
15% carbohydrates
High meat-based protein content
Grain-free
No artificial colourings or preservatives
Rich in omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids for healthy skin and a shiny coat
Cranberry extract prevents the build-up of harmful bacteria and supports the urinary and digestive tracts

Balanced calcium/phosphorus ratio
Developed with vets
Hypo-allergenic
Anti-hairball formula
Resealable packaging

Really disappointed, the size of the biscuits are small and round making them easy to swallow without crunching. It means she can eat to quickly and then sick up. Plus I prefer her to crunch as good for the teeth.

Good ingredients. Cat didn't like the flavour!
Our young British Shorthair cat is not a fussy eater. Similar to another review, our cat didn't enjoy the Chicken with Extra Salmon. Halfway through the 400g trial pack, she stopped eating that particular flavour. In general, it took her longer to finish off both products in comparison to another brand e.g. Royal Canin dry food for that breed. It's a shame, the ingredient lists look good.

Massive hit
My cat is fussy. Not a little bit fussy, we have tried DOZENS of foods and he’s turned his nose up at all of them besides two prescription brands. He devoured the Applaws and our other cat that won’t usually eat dry food is into it as well

Perfect for cats with allergies
I've moved my older cat, 14, onto Applaws dry cat food. Although a little more expensive than other brands, the concentrated and high quality ingredients in the product and means she need to eat less. The lack of grains and other 'bilking' agents means that she no longer has skin issues and does not need to take steroids (which is so much better for her and saves on Vets bills). Highly recommend this product.

Shiny happy cat
Our fussy cat loves Applaws. It's a bit of calculation to balance the wet and dry food as the wet food is not complete so we have to make sure she gets enough dry food but with the help of customer service at Applaws we got it! After 2 months of an Applaws diet our little cat is shiny, happy and loves her food.

Guaranteed empty plate every meal
Luna, my fussy cat, loves it and completely clears her dish. I like it too because it doesn't smell strongly.
She's so fond of Applaws food pellets that I had to put them in one of those brain teasing tower feeders, to prevent her from gobbling them up, and make her chew them. The tower slows her down and makes her have think a bit about how she reaches them. She's quite a dab hand at scooping up the pellets individually and it's fun to guess which one she'll go for next!

A positive addition....
...to my boy's food. He has allergies and has been on a prescription diet for a while, but I'm keen to get him onto more natural foods. Mixing this in with his existing diet, he seems to love it and I'm happy that he's getting more meat and less grain into his diet. If he continues to enjoy it and not suffer any negative side-effects, I'll be looking to order more.

Loves this food
Fussy cat, so I wanted to add more different tastes to his food. I bought the trial packs and my cat is loving them mixed in with his normal good.
I shall be buying more soon

Fantastic grain free food
I purchased these biscuits to try as their first grain free biscuits due to struggling to find grain free food. I then realised how expensive this food was and tried another brand which also suited.
Our cats did love these biscuits!

Cats favourite by far
I've recently been trolling out dry foods as my cats have mainly been on a wet food diet, and this one was by far their favourite. They meowed excited everytime I got the bag out the cuboard. It has a zippy thing too which is great for keeping the kibble fresh

Excellent food!
Fantastic, my cat loves this food. He has far much more energy now and everyone comments on his beautiful shiny fur! Would not buy anything else.

Great quality cat food
My cats adore this food. It's good quality and excellent value from zooplus. I changed my cats onto this very slowly, adding a small sprinkle at each meal, gradually replacing their existing food. Zooplus offer a great price for this, much better than pets at home.

My Cat loves these!
Having previously tried various dry foods & treats, I was worried about the quality & grain content that my cat was getting. She is a rescue cat & was eating low quality so it was a slow process changing her diet to a much higher meat content, grain-free dry food. After trying these Applaws salmon & chicken, my cat refuses to eat any other treats, she doesn't seem as hungry, eats slower & she is much healthier, her fur is softer & she seems happier.

cat skin allergy
My cat licks her fur off on her stomach and legs. We use stronghold for fleas each month and she takes yumega oil for her skin. We also use a felliway plug in but she can still lick her fur off.we have taken her to the vets for steroids on and off which only stops her temporarily. Applaws dry food seems to stop her licking a lot and her hair is finally starting to grow back slowly. The salmon and chichen smells quite strong but the chicken is milder smelling. She likes both of them but finds the chicken more tastier.
