Product description

An ideal addition to the diffuser. By spraying the scent directly onto surfaces in your cat’s environment you can help your cat to feel calm and happy at home or when travelling.

When cats feel safe in their environment, they will deposit pheromone (scent) marks on furniture or other prominent objects. These marks help your cat to feel happy and secure. By mimicking the cat’s natural facial pheromones, Feliway creates a feeling of familiarity and security for your cat, even in new surroundings or during stressful experiences such as travelling. The scent is unnoticeable to humans, but can make a big difference to your cat’s wellbeing.

This Feliway® Classic Spray allows you to spray the synthetic pheromones directly onto certain pieces of furniture, blankets, or areas of your house that your cat spends a lot of time in. Simply shake the bottle and spray Feliway once a day onto doorways, cat flaps, window sills, scratching posts and other objects around the house.

Feliway spray is also the ideal solution for cats that get anxious when travelling in a carrier - just spray Feliway in your cat's carrier, or onto a blanket inside, to help comfort your cat on stressful journeys. The spray is available in a standard 60ml bottle. Using Feliway® Classic Spray is an ideal solution in the following situations:

  • To calm your cat if it is showing symptoms of stress (e.g. not using the litter tray, excessively scratching furniture)
  • To reduce stress when there is disruption to your cat’s environment
  • To make your cat feel safe and secure at home or when travelling

Always consult your vet if your cat is showing signs of stress. Your cat's problem may be of a clinical origin and may require further treatment.

Ingredients

Ingredients:
10% synthetic copy of F3 fraction of cat facial pheromones, 90% other ingredients (alcohol-based).

Feeding guide

Usage instruction:
When using the Feliway® Classic Spray you must keep in mind the problem you are trying to reduce or prevent:

If your cat is urine spraying:
  • Remove the cat from the room
  • Clean the areas marked with urine using either a mixture of water and surgical spirits or a warm diluted solution of non-biological washing powder. (Strong disinfectants may interfere with FELIWAY)
  • Shake the bottle and apply the spray.
  • Wait 15 minutes before letting the cat re-enter the area to allow time for the alcohol carrier in FELIWAY to evaporate.
  • Apply daily for at least 30 days.

If your cat is scratch marking:
  • Remove the cat from the room.
  • Shake the bottle and apply the spray to the marked area.
  • Wait 15 minutes before letting the cat re-enter the area to allow time for the alcohol carrier in FELIWAY to evaporate.
  • To prevent new furniture, freshly painted walls or other objects becoming the target of scratch marking activity, spray daily for the first 2 weeks.
Please note:
  • Feliway® Classic Spray should not stain furnishings/wallpaper but it is recommended to test on a sample before use.
  • To prevent a relapse use Feliway® Classic Spray daily for at least 30 days.
  • If your cat lives in a multi-cat household use as above, but extend the period of use to at least 45 days and increase the frequency of application to twice daily.
  • Remember, Feliway® Classic Spraydoes not cover or mask bad smells.

Chilled out lads
I've used this twice, first time was taking our cats to the Cattery which is 10 miles away.usually we have ear splitting wailing for the entire journey! It was miraculous..not a squeak..totally relaxed .Thinking it was just a fluke have used it again today for the annual booster trip to the vet..once more my boys were happy. Even when the vet was doing the evil deed..great stuff..wish they made a human version!!😂

Magic :-)
Our cats are quite laid back but taking them on long car journeys is definitely pushing it a bit. Sprayed this in carriers before setting off, and during the journey - cats were blissed out all the way from England to France. Excellent product.

Cat hates it!!
Bought some Feliway spray and the diffuser plug-in this week as we're taking my middle-aged moggy on a long car trip next week and she's not the happiest passenger... Well, I can safely say that after spraying it in the new cat carrier and on her bed, she won't be going near either anytime soon! She's taken to sleeping somewhere else and when she caught a whif of the spray in the carrier, she avoids that like the plague too!

Didn't work
Had high expectations however this did not work for my kitten. I sprayed it all over inside the cat carrier but throughout the whole journey, my kitten was crying like mad on the way home. I'm sure it works for some cats though!

great stuff
Good stuff. Cat fell asleep in his carrier to the vets. Brilliant. One downside is that Zooplus send out this and it has no UK instructions.

Essential Product
My cat is very nervous when going to the vets, so much so that she hyper-ventilates, which is very distressing for her (and us!). I now spray Feliway in her carrying basket 20 minutes before we leave for the vets. It is miraculous. She is still nervous and shakes when she gets there but nowhere near as much as before and she doesn't pant. I wouldn't be without this.

It works
Feliway does noticeably calm the kitten down whenever we had to put him in the pet taxi for trips to the vet.

Could not do without!
I have 6 beautiful well behaved Birmans. Four of which are only 7 months old. The babies took to scratching my wooden kitchen cupboards and leaving a mark. A few days of spraying Feliway on the areas and they do not scratch. Have also used this when the kittens used to pee and poop in inappropriate places. This i put down to age but after spraying Feliway they promptly stopped. Will always have a bottle to hand when they decide to do naughty kitty things so that they don't pick up bad habits

What a transformation!
Since my young female Abyssinnian lost her sister to cancer in May, she had become a fraught, territorial cat. I plugged in Feliway a week before a new kitten arrived, and within days she has become a laid back smiley happy cat, who accepted the new kitten as if he were her own! Feliway truly worked its magic, and I only wish I had tried it sooner.

Great
Bought this to help with new cat introduction and for traveling. Works with out a shadow of a doubt. Calm cats when travelling and if things get a littles heated in the house. Used with diffuser in house.

Calm and happy cats
Having bought the feliway spray to see if it would help one of my three cats to use the tray more readily as she is very nervous and shy, I am so happy with the results, she is more readily using the tray after only three days and all three cats seem much more content. Thank you Zooplus.

Much better than the Diffuser
Our vet recommended this product to help our new puppy and 3 cats settle in with each other. I had previously tried using a diffuser but didn't notice any difference in our cats stress levels so was reluctant to spend more money on it. However, I sprayed a good 6 or 7 squirts of the spray in one room just before doing another cat-puppy introduction and within 5 minutes 2 of the cats were laying down just 2 0r 3 feet from the puppy, quite content. One even rolled on its back and the puppy lay down too and wagged his tail, where they all sat happily for a good half an hour until tea time. Not quite ready to let puppy off his lead with them yet, but this product is certainly reducing my stress and theirs it seems. I do live in quite a big house so that isn't to say the diffuser doesn't work, just might be better for use in smaller rooms.

Visibly calms cats
We use this product whenever we transport the cats by spraying a little into their carry cases about 5 minutes before putting them in. It makes trips to the vets much less traumatic. I started using it in conjunction with the diffuser Feliway product as one of my cats used to urinate on our bed. As per the instructions, I sprayed a little onto our bed every morning and evening for 30 days and, fingers crossed, it has completely stopped and we are a much happier household!

A great buy when re-homing and/or transporting a cat
We adopted a 'very shy' tabby this week. Before bringing her home I visited her at the adoption centre 3 times in total and each time she was incredibly timid a shy, usually hiding under a blanket and only tolerating a minimal amount of stroking. Under the impression that she would take quite awhile to adjust to her new home, we bought a Feliway diffuser and Spray and prepared for her arrival by spritzing her new room at cat-level, plugging in the diffuser, and spraying her carrier basket. Once in her basket she was very calm and seemed more bothered by the erratic taxi ride home than being confined to her basket itself. On the first evening in her new home she came out straightaway and let us stroke her and even sat on my lap! I don't know how much of this is down to the Feliway, but it certainly seems to have done the trick in this little cat's case and we're just delighted with the results.

I can't smell it but it seems to calm the cat!
I recently brought home my 5 year-old British Shorthair, a retired breeding queen, who had been fostered while waiting for me to collect her. While with the fosterer, she had nervously refused to leave her travel basket for the first 2 days! Fearing the worst, I purchased the Feliway diffuser and plugged it in one week before she arrived. I also sprayed the inside of her new travel basket with Feliway spray just before I picked her up. When I arrived at the fosterer's house, the cat calmly got into the basket and - give or take the odd meow - travelled happily in the car for the next two and a half hours. When we got home she stepped out of the basket immediately and proceeded to wander around the flat as if she had always been there. That first evening this "nervous" cat jumped onto my lap and has been affectionate and calm ever since. I can only put this down to the Feliway, although I couldn't (and still can't) detect any scent from it, apart from the initial smell of alcohol when it is first sprayed or plugged in (which cats hate). On the basis of this experience, I would recommend Feliway for nervous cats, for use in a pet carrier or to help cats that are about to be introduced to an unfamiliar environment.

Amazing stuff
I bought this 2 months back for my male tabby aged 3. He never got along with our female cat that we bought the same time as him and he would often beat her up. When we bought a King Charles Cav dog our male cat became depressed, he would hide under our bed, shy away from human touch and torment the life out of our female cat, it got to the point where I needed to rehome him and then I saw an advert for Feliway so I bought some and within 4 days my cat was even better than his old self. He now sits on our knees again, plays with the dog, gets along with our female cat...the results have been amazing and I advise you to buy this product if like me you were at your wits end and thinking of rehoming :)

The best
The Feliway spray is a miracle worker! My kitten stopped scratching the moment I introduced this product in my home. Brilliant. Well worth the money. If you want to save your furniture this is the one to use!
