Product description

Royal Canin Aroma Exigent is a dry cat food for adult cats that are particularly sensitive to smells. It has a pleasant aroma, helps maintain ideal weight and a beautiful fur.

For picky cats, which primarily select their food via smell, there's Royal Canin Aroma Exigent cat food with a particularly distinct, natural smell to it. Even for cats, which only eat meat, they still pick out this food first due to the delicious smell. Your cat will only tuck in when it likes the smell of its food and cats can be very picky when it comes to selecting food using their sense of smell.

Royal Canin Aroma Exigent cat food has been developed to meet the special nutritional needs of demanding and fussy cats:

  • Highest acceptance: Royal Canin Aroma Exigentdry cat food with aromatic attraction to meet the demands of the fussiest cat
  • Healthy Fur: the balanced nutrients include biotin and borage oil (rich in Omega- 6 fatty acids) to support healthy and beautiful fur.
  • Helps maintain ideal weight: The balanced calorific content meets the nutritional requirements of a cat of ideal weight.
Cat's preferences for particular types of foods varies from cat to cat. The species, breed, experiences and habits are just some of the factors affecting preferences, influence whether your cat certain foods or not. That's why some cats have changeable appetites and can sometimes be hard to please. This can sometimes lead to irregular eating, which in turn can result in digestive problems. An irregular, unbalanced diet can even produce negative effects on your cat's fur.

Royal Canin has developed the Exigent product line to meet the exclusive nutritional needs of fussy cats, which satisfy even the most demanding of cats. Based on the latest science in palatability, they respond to each cat’s individual preference.

For more than 40 years Royal Canin has been making your pet’s health the prime focus of their work leading to the product range “Health Nutrition” amongst others. Only with the knowledge of your pet’s exact nutritional requirements and with respect for the individuality of every animal can the perfect meal be developed and produced to exactly meet your pet’s needs.

My very fussy cat loves this one!
My cat Boris went right off his food during the summer and lost a lot of weight. He wouldn't eat his usual food and, although I tried lots of others, I was putting his fussiness down to old age, as the vet had found nothing wrong in the blood tests we did. This is the food which started him eating properly again and he loves it. Thank goodness for this aromatic attraction food!

Terrible Response
My cat sometimes has a sensitive tummy but she tends to get on well with most varieties of Royal Canin, so I thought I'd try her on this, and mixed it with her normal Oral Care variety. She's been terribly sick every day since, although she loves the taste/aroma and eats it really quickly. I've tried giving her smaller meals, but that hasn't helped. Had to order another variety. It might be fine for some cats but definitely not agreeable to mine. What a horrible experience and waste of money.

Another satisfied cat!
I have a cat with food allergies and like many other owners have spent a fortune on buying food to find something she will eat. She loves the Aroma one. Not keen on the other Exigent varieties though.

Finally a food my poorly cat will eat!!!!!!
My cat was diagnosed with congestive heart failure 4 months ago and ever since then he’s been impossible with food. I’ve tried so many different foods and even tried letting him go hungry in the hope that he’d eat but nothing has enticed him. He used to weigh 7kg and now he weighs 5kg. I bought this food a few days ago after reading reviews and was so relieved when he wired into it! He wasn’t sick either, which is great and been less whingey because he’s not starving. Absolutely thrilled!!!!

3 Spoiled Ragdolls
I have 3 large Ragdolls they absolutely love this food I have 1 who’s not fussed with wet food and prefers just eating this , my ginger Tom I used to have would only ever eat this never touched wet. I’m a little bit annoyed that the price had gone up quite a bit by over £15 wondering if I should try buying it elsewhere but still fab food . Come on Zooplus if it’s cheaper to buy from you than elsewhere put the price back down to £29 for 10kg pleaseeeeeee

Royal Canin Exigent Fussy Cat-Aromatic Attraction
After reading the good reviews on this food I thought I would give it a try from my the usual brands of Royal Canin /Hills?Proplan I usually buy. I have 5 cats ,one is very fussy and only eats dry food , I expected all or most of my cats to love this food going on the reviews but my cats were not the least bit interested and walked away from their bowls. I am still putting the food down in the hope they will eventually like it. I guess my cats are just fussier than other peoples fussy cats.

Brilliant
My boy used to have Sensible 33 but he started to turn his nose up at it . We decided to keep with the Royal Canin brand and found this was exactly what we needed . He loves is . He's a sensitive little chap but no problems with this at all . His coat is glossy and he has more energy . Very happy with this . Thumbs up from us , paws up from my kitty .

AMAZING
I have two four year old maine coons. They went off the Royal Canin Sensitive so have spent the past few months trying them on every single food on the supermarket shelf, and I mean everything. I must have spent (wasted) hundreds of pounds on foods, wet and dry, that they just turned their noses up. They have been losing weight, their coats were looking shabby and the male has had terrible tummy problems, top and bottom and stud tail (even though he is neutered). Buying this food, after a bit of online research, was the best thing I ever did. They LOVE it. Eat the lot and keep wandering over to their bowl for more. In one week all tummy problems have totally cleared up, stud tail has completely gone (never realised that could be diet related) and their coats are already looking amazing, soft and shiny. If you are having a problem finding a good food your cats will love then buy this. I highly recommended, it has saved me so much worry and probably a hefty vets bill.

good dry food for problem cats
This food is popular with older cats with a weakened sense of smell. Their weight is stabilising and their fur is becoming shinier.

Thank Goodness
--for this Aromatic Attraction food my cat will eat this when he turns his nose up at most other foods just leaving them to go bad rather than eat. I do try to introduce other cat foods so he is not dependent on just one type never ever having had a fussy cat before I am just pleased to have one food he likes a lot that seems to keep him healthy his coat shines and he seems a very fit and active cat.

Happy cats
Recently brought home two rescue cats and tried various foods as I wasnt sure what they had been given in the past...they left most of the tinned stuff untouched and I was getting a little anxious but as soon as I gave them this dried food it all changed.... now this household has 1 very happy owner and 2 extremely happy cats!!! Thank you Royal Cannin !!!

sensitive to the smell?
The food smells awful. I cannot think of a worse smell but my cats are really into it and lap it up. But I'm not going to buy it again. I don't feel like throwing up while I'm feeding my cats.

Finally a food he will eat !
We had tried everything from the most expensive to grocery store bought but nothing would entice him enough to get any weight on his too thin frame. Finally we have success, he inhales this food and actually comes looking to get fed...this "battle" has gone on for almost 2 years so our relief is immense...thank you from a very happy cat owner.

perfect
--for my cat after trying so many types and brands I have at last found the perfect one for him, no messing about he just gets on with eating and has developed a lovely sheen to his coat. My only problem has been with finding a pet shop that stocks it all the time.

Aromatic attraction has come to the rescue.
I have two one year old cats, one of which is an extremely fussy eater and shows her displeasure of most cat foods by acting as if she was in her litter tray. I had tried Royal Canin before, but the Aromatic attraction has come to the rescue. She was suspicious at first, but was eating happily within the hour, along with my other cat who has 'gone off' the other brand my vet recommended. Very successful, thanks Royal Canin.
