Blood test came back in higher normal range
After 4 weeks blood tests results have come back that she's not hyperthyroid but is at the top of the normal range. Her symptoms were vomiting and being very vocal about not wanting to be touched. I bought the wet version and she doesn't like the taste as much, it dries faster etc BUT she's definitely less cranky on it so I'm assuming the wet food works better.

It works!
My cat had an adverse reaction to thyroid medication. Since she couldn’t be on it I was told her heart would eventually give out... 3-6 months. She was quite old but decided I’d look into other possible options to give her more time and came across this food. That was over 4 years ago. All her labs have come back normal. Just wish they have other flavors.

What an improvement
My cat was given medication for his over active thyroid and made him really ill. The vet suggested this food and he is getting back to normal. Put on weight and more active.

My vet did not recommend medicating my very nervous cat, so the PTS option was being considered. I decided to try this as a last resort and my cat is thriving. She has put on weight and is happy again. I use the wet and dry. Brilliant product.

Brilliant product
I starting using this product after my cat had a terrible reaction to his thyroid medication. The vet did not recommend it but I didn't want to give my cat any other medication. He has thrived on this product and his thyroid levels have gone from 200 to normal levels within 6 weeks. Admittedly he is a bit bored of it (and also the canned version) but he does eat it as he knows there is nothing else offered! I believe this saved my cat's life. I highly recommend it.

After 3 months thyroid normal l
Went to vets in Oct 2019 my ragdoll cat had lost weight although eating more than ever she was diagnosed with thyroid decided to try this 3 months later cats weight increased by 15% and vet blood test show thyroid normal. Just one thing you MUST not feed your cat any other food or it will not work

Excellent
This food, in both dry and wet forms, has saved our cat's life. She is healthy, leading a good quality of life and has a beautiful coat and shiny, clear eyes. Don't put down too much of this food - better to feed small amounts, but often. I think it loses its scent and she can't smell it after a while. We use this predominantly but serve the wet food, in tiny portions, too. If you need something to help your cat, it's definitely worth a try.

Feline Y/D Works!
Our cat is sensitive to the vet medicine for an over active thyroid and so tried this. Our vet retested after a couple of months and it has worked. Levels now completely normal. So pleased.

So far so good.
I was amazed at how quicklymy cats ' coat and weight resumed from eating this food. He seems more contented and not always looking for food. I do give him some raw turkey mince to supplement this due to low protein content... its been three weeks only . Will order again for sure both wet and dry.

Very bad get radioiodine treatment instead. It’s the cure!
If you put your cat on this food please note it has very little quality for the cat. Cats need high protein. If they eat a treat with this it counteracts it. The turnour that causes hyperthyroidism eats iodine. The cure is i131 radioactive iodine, it’s a simple injection in the scruff like a booster & doesn’t make them feel poorly. Lots of vets arent up to date with protocol. I’ve had 2 of my cats cured at the hyperthyroid cat Centre in Wetherby, it’s amazing.

Hill's prescription diet feline y/d Thyroid Care
17 yr. old cats.- was prescribed pills for one of my cat's, Minni, vomited everywhere so stopped them. She eats this biscuit but won't touch the soft - however her twin sister will, so feed that to her mixed in water as it is so thick, and put a little Gourmet Gold Pate on top of it. Minni has to have Gourmet Gold Pate fish only. She does looks much better now as she was getting weak. When the soft has gone will just feed the dry and whatever they fancy with it! See how it goes.

So far so good
My 17 year old furbaby was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism 12 months ago and had been on medication. I have chosen this diet (wet and dry) for him instead of continuing the meds which seemed to be making him ill. He seems so much brighter. He is still underweight, but early days. I mix the wet food with some warm water. I have crushed some of the dry food and sprinkle this on top of the wet food to make it a bit more appetising.

Excellent Results!!
My 10 year old Maine Coon developed thyroid problems in January of this year. She lost loads of weight and her coat looked awful. We tried medication but she had a bad allergic reaction to it. She has only ever eaten Maine Coon food and I was worried about trying something else after all these years. I took her back to the vet after 5 weeks and all bloods came back normal, she has gained weight, her coat looks great and she is happy again!! I would definitely recommend this diet.

Thyroid is back to normal
My 15-year-old cat developed an overactive thyroid in August. She threw up the pills the vet prescribed so I switched her to the y/d prescription. She's been on it for 8 weeks, and her blood test last Friday showed no signs of an over-active thyroid. She's always eaten Hills food, so it wasn't hard to switch. The only thing I wish is that Hills made y/d treats. Instead I put some y/d food in a Whiskas Temptations box and she thinks they're treats, lol.

Back to normal weight
our 13 year old cat started to get very thin in Oct 15 (even though he ate loads of his normal food), and his coat looked really scraggy. We went to the vet who diagnosed thyroid problems, and then gave us 3 options: an operation, medication or this special diet. We went for the latter option and after a short time the cat was back to a normal weight and looking healthy again. He's started to play again too, which is the most important thing.

HILLS PRESCRIPTION YD
After consulting our vet for our cat who has hyperthyroidism, we have been using this food for about a year. He only eats this food and he's really back to what he was like before he got sick. Fantastic! He has a really shiny coat and he's behaving as cats normally do - playing around, getting into everything, and not stressed at all.

Overactive thyroid
My cat is 12 and has an overactive thyroid. I bought this product about 3 weeks ago and since then her thyroid tests are in the normal range again. She really likes the food, so I'd recommend it to anyone else. The vet recommended it to me.
