Feeding guide
Feeding recommendation in pouches per animal per day
The following amounts are only guidelines since each animal will have individual needs. The amount should be adapted to make sure your pet maintains its ideal weight.
If in doubt, please check with your vet.
Please make sure that your cat always has plenty of fresh drinking water.
Over a period of 7 days and in agreement with your vet, you should mix an increasing amount of the new cat food with a decreasing amount of the old cat food.
Your cat will not need any other food. Feeding your cat additional food can reduce the positive effects of Hill's Cat Food.
My cat had terrible digestive issues with all regular cat foods - sometimes causing a visit to the vets ... being diagnosed with a digestive issue which means she has problems with dry foods I decided to invest in a certified prescribed food and I can’t recommend this food highly enough. It has completely changed her health and well being.

Vet prescribed
Our vet advised we feed this to our kitten who had some pretty bad diarrhoea issues, within 3 days, his poop became solid again! very happy with this product!

Doesn't like it...
My cat Mickey ate the first sachet or two quite happily, but then refused to eat them anymore. Very expensive trial run! As others have said, it has quite a strong smell. He prefers the other Hills prescription food - the pate and the stew, but not this.

Packaging and Recipe Change
My cats loved this and it kept their sensitive tummies settled. However in receipt of my last order I noticed the packaging had changed. I believe the recipe and ingredients must have changed too as my cats won't touch the stuff in the new packaging. Consequently I now have boxes of the stuff that I have wasted a lot of money on as it won't be eaten. I managed to source some of the old stuff from the vets but haven't a clue what I can feed them now.
The original recipe was good and worked why change it? You have now lost a customer in us as no good buying what my cats won't eat.

My cats won't touch it
I purchased this food as an alternative for Royal Canin Gastro pouches but unfortunately out of my 3 cats none of them would touch this food, not even the one who would literally eat anything. It also doesn't have a pleasant smell.

Fantastic
Vet gave me this for my kitten with diarrhoea and his poo was already better after 2 days! A safe brand that knows what a cat should eat.

The only food to work for sensitive cat with allergies
One of my cats has a very sensitive tummy, she can't eat food that is too warm, too cold, needs little portions and 90% of other wet foods make her sick. This is one of the few foods that she has never vomited and it is reasonably good quality healthy food too. I would prefer a higher meat content for her but i'm happy that i've found something she can keep down as she loses weight quickly without it. This food has kept her a healthy weight and her coat is nicer too.
My kitten was given 2 weeks to live and had severe diarrhea, inflammed gut, swelling, temperature and red eyes. It turns out that after she recovered from a vaccine reaction and her illness she has been left allergic to meat. The vet tried her on the Hills z/d prescription food first as it was hydrolysed but it wasn't very good and still triggered her symptoms. This food was so much better and is the ONLY meat containing food she can eat without side effects. She is on fish based food now, but loves to have this occassionally. I feel so much better knowing that if she ever does steal this from our other cats plate, she won't be left in pain like she would any other food. I'd definitely recommend this for sensitive cats and those with IBD.

In my case I have two Sphynx cats and I gave each of them half a pouch. Unfortunately they would rather leave it than eat it, so for us it didn't work, but it seems like a good quality product.

My boy is picky but luckily he loves this diet, and it helps with his diarrhoea. His teeth are also looking healthier and I'm happy :)

Good food
We have 2 Burmese, both with chronic pancreatitis, and they can't tolerate normal foods. So our vet recommended Hill's feline i/d wet food and dry food. It is great and very good quality, with real piece of meat. And I'm glad I can buy it at zooplus, as they are way cheaper than the vet!

Helps to prevent vomiting
My cat has unexplained vomiting. Blood results and tests etc didn't tell us anything. This food helped instantly and clearly tastes great to my cat. Compared to his old food (Kattovit Gastro, which was essentially mush), this has lovely pieces of meat in sauce. The pouches are super and I would love it if zooplus also stocked the salmon variety!

My female cat heartily recommends this!
My cat Luna has always been very sensitive and picky, and a lot of foods we've tried have caused her a variety of ailments. Vomiting and diarrhoea occurred pretty frequently. A friend of my mother recommended me Hill's, because her male cat has done well on it. It was a good choice, as my Luna is no longer vomiting after meals, and all the other problems have also disappeared. It looks appetizing, and the balance of meat and sauce is just right. The ingredients even smell good to me! But most importantly, Luna likes it :)

Eagerly eaten up!
Hill's dietary food was recommended by our vet because of our cat's problems with loose stools. It's difficult to say whether this food regulates the digestive system on its own, because she also had injections and medications from the vet, but she no longer has any problems with loose stools and she happily eats all the food. The only small drawback is the fact that 2 sachets in my carton were leaking when I received them.

Satisfied cat, thank you!
This is a delicious, high-quality special diet food. They taste good, and my cat's stomach stays healthy and functioning. It's especially good that these pouches can be ordered at the same time as the food for our ordinary cats from zooplus, so we don't have to make a special trip to the vet.

Super Diet i/d Chicken
It's just a really good product that helps my cat with her sensitive stomach. She now lives a good and healthy life. It really is a product that delivers what it promises. One minus is the price, it is quite expensive but I have no choice when my cat can only tolerate one product!
