Natural, premium dry food for kittens and pregnant or nursing cats. With an 80% meat content, this delicious food is low in carbohydrates and 100% grain free.
Applaws Kitten dry food is a perfectly balanced food for kitten, as well as pregnant or nursing cats. It simulates the natural diet of a cat in the wild in a dry kibble form. Cats are carnivores and their digestive system is adapted to thrive on a diet high in natural animal proteins. The natural cat diet only contains 1 to 5 % plant content from the intestines of prey. The grains found in many other dry pet foods cannot be utilised and are difficult to digest for cats. Surplus carbohydrates are not saved but are converted into glycogen or fat. The result can be obesity, liver or pancreas disease and even diabetes.
Applaws Kitten dry cat food uses meat as its only source of protein, which can be effectively converted into energy by your cat. It is also suitable for cats with allergies and food intolerances.
Applaws Cat Food for Kittens contains no artificial preservatives. Added antioxidants for longer preservation of the food are derived from natural selenium and natural tocopherol which can have an additional positive effect on your cat's health and vitality.
Natural omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids strengthen the fur and skin structure and give your cat's coat a glossy shine. Cat Food for Kittens also contains cranberry extract to support the urinary and digestive tracts.

Kittens should be got used to solid food from week 4-6. Begin by softening it in lukewarm water and gradually reduce the water content.
Please do not use milk. If your kitten is already used to dry food make the change to the new food gradually over 4 days.
Your kitten's daily requirements may vary according to size, activity levels and general circumstances.
Feeding recommendation for pregnant or nursing cats:
1.25 - 3 kg: 20 - 40 g daily
3 - 5 kg: 40 - 60 g daily
5 - 8 kg: 60 - 100 g daily
From week 4 of pregnancy feeding amounts should be increased gradually as per the table above. From week 7 you should be feeding double amounts. After birth, continue to slowly increase feeding amounts to provide as much food as is needed. About 5 weeks after birth you can change back to Applaws dry food for adult cats.
Your cat's daily requirements may vary according to size, age, activity levels and general circumstances.
As a Bengal Cat breeder I have found it nearly impossible to find a dry food option for this breed of cat that doesn’t cause huge digestive upset.
My cats are raw fed and now thankfully have a dry food option that works beautifully. No nasty poops, love the dry ate it straight away without any fuss.
I’m forever thankful to Applaws for making such a high quality grain free dry food.

Terrible!
We were doing a lot of research of the best possible dry food for our kitten. Applaws made it to the top. As it is usually out of stock here we decided to try to buy small pack from amazon and if we'd like it then buy 7.5kg here. Thats what we did and when we received 7.5kg it was so different from the one we got on amazon. Immediately my kitten wasnt eating that much and started to throw up. Maybe we got an old batch from amazon, before the ingredient change. Never again!

Such a shame not what it use to be
My kitten has always been on this hard food with a selection of their wet food had no problem GREAT... all of a sudden we struggled to get a the food and heard they where changing ingredients ever since then she's had really bad diarrhea, she was put on tablet and no luck we stopped her wet food and no luck and then I figured out soon as she ate hard food that's when it happened... soon as she eat it like liquid.... such a shame as she loved this food.

Horrible, never again
My cats have been having diarrhea every time after eating these biscuits. I did not realise and kept trying to find a cause until I came across some reviews here stating the same. I also read reviews for other flavours of this brand and it was the same. Cats having diarrhea and it seems when a bigger pack is purchased. i am getting rid of all Applaws products and switching to a better safer brand.

Top Kitten Food
My 7 months old kitten only eats this brand (and in addition some Schesir Kitten wet food): this dry food is great quality, she always eats it in full and thanks to the good ingredients she is growing healthy: full of energy, shiny fur, normal stools. I normally purchase the large 7kg bag and then transfer into sealed containers to keep it fresh: this way I manage to save a little as it is a bit pricier than supermarket brands. Definitely worth every penny.

its cat food
She eats it but she doesn't like it anymore than any of the other so-called cheap nasty dry foods. No noticeable changes in coat eyes behaviour. It says all the right things on the packaging but at the end of the day it's cat food and I'm not sure the price tag warrants me me to regularly buy this.

Pot Luck
My kitten had been used to this so I ordered some more, when it arrived I noticed it was a lot darker in colour which should have set alarm bells ringing. Instant diarrhea! so I contacted Applaws who informed due to seasonal variations in ingredients used the recipe can change slightly hence the upset stomachs. Not going to risk the smell or mess again

Applaws dry food
My kittens and mothers love these biscuits! Almost put 4* just as they are expensive for feeding a big litter of kittens but... it’s still worth investing in a good quality dry food to make sure they are getting a complete diet.

Excellent value
I chose this because the meat content is higher than any other I've seen for the price, and the protein sits at a more than reasonable 38% for growing kitties. Kibbles are small and uniform. I ordered the 2 economy bags and they are ENORMOUS. I'm not sure I'll ever need to order more kitten food again. The downside is that I was expecting them to be resealable like the tiny bags are but they're not so the bag must be meticulously taped up or use a bag resealer gadget.

High in protein and good for sensitive tummies
Our Scottish Straight kitten has a very sensitive tummy and not a great eater however after spending a fortune trying different dry foods, he seems happy with this one and his tummy is absolutely fine on the grain free. Zooplus offer great customer service and are very competitive on price - I won't shop anywhere else for my cats.

Gleaming Silky Coats
My 2 9mth Himalayan x girls love it. They were on some terrible whiskers biscuit with mum, I changed to this over 1mth and they have done really well but they do drink a lot and occasional loose poos. Due to Start trial of Orijen which is the expensive comparable, made with fresh not dry meat and less carbs to see if these final niggles subside. I still recommend this food as my girls coats are amazingly silky and they are very spritely. Will move back if no improvements.

Kittens love it
I chose this as it showed best grain-free dry food available for kittens with the right meat and fat content and all 3 of my 6-month old kittens love it.

My two come running.....
I’ve been feeding two feral kittens (since their mother brought them to me,) on applaws kitten food. They are doing really well on this, lovely shine to their coats. Wouldn’t feed anything else now!
It loses a star because it’s not british chicken, which is a disappointment.

My kittens who are now between 6-7 months old love this kibble. I have never thrown any away. Love getting the grain free stuff. I want to try and do the best for my boys.

Too good?
We adopted a kitten that started being sick as soon as he came home, at 10 weeks old. So we thought to try natural grain-free food to see if it was an intolerance to an ingredient that was causing the sickness. We swapped IAMS kitten for this and oh my days, the kittens LOVE it. And I say is it 'too good' because I used to leave a bowl of dry food out all day so if they were peckish they could dip in but this is almost all gone straight away!

Kitten loves it!
I got this for my 5 month old Russian Blue as I was feeding her Royal Canin, only found out recently that RC is full of rubbish and more expensive than Applaws!
I’ve only tried her on it for the day and I’ve tried to slowly wean her onto it by mixing it in with her old food, the only problem is that she loves it so much she leaves the RC kibbles in the bowl. So I guess we’re going to experience a messy litter tray! I’m glad she likes it though as it’s so much better for her than RC.

Great Food For Ragdoll Kittens
I have two ragdoll boys, one of which I've previously had awful tummy problems with. This has been especially good for him, and he's absolutely thrived on it. He's now a whopping 7 kg! Lovely soft shiny fur, bright eyed and no more bad tummies.
Both my boys love this, and just moving on to the adult after this bag has finished.
