Applaws Adult Chicken & Salmon Cat Food offers an ideally balanced dry food for adult cats. The recipe is tailored to the natural nutritional requirements of cats, so the main ingredients are tasty chicken and salmon of the best quality.

A very high meat and fish content of 80% provides your cat with valuable animal proteins that can be utilised and digested particularly well. No grains have been added to the recipe, making this dry food ideal for cats with sensitive diets. The meaty composition helps to maintain lean muscle mass and supports weight management.

Great grain free dry food

My 4 ragdoll cats love this dry food for there main meal. They also love the applaws wet sachets and tins

Cats wouldn’t touch this

I have two cats who eat a variety of different brands of dry food and have never complained. Until I tried this! Neither of them would go anywhere near it.

Delighted to be able to order this again

My cats love this and were not happy when this was temporarily unavailable. I've always thought this was the best dry food for them and they seemed to agree!

Really good food our cats love this

We have been using this for our cats for 4 years and they do not tire of it. It is a staple. They turn their nose up, at numerous other foods. Our cats are a healthy weight and very active. Highly recommend this.

Something has changed

My cat used to thoroughly enjoyed this food, even the kitten version. Something must've changed in this recipe as after a few feedings of this latest bought bag he threw the whole lot up and refused to eat. This was the only change and the vets found no other issues.

Cat won't touch it

She won't eat it at all and have to say, from a human standpoint, it doesn't smell particularly appetising. Not sure chicken and salmon combo is suitable.

Such a nutritious food, she loves it too!

I am shocked by the rating for this food and so had to review myself. After thorough research into cat nutrition I decided this was the best dry food for my girl. The meat content is exceptional. My cat, who has a habit of going off food after periods of time, has been on this for years and still runs to her bowl when she hears it. She eats this twice a day and a wet food twice. This food is so nutritious and if you care about what goes into your fur baby I highly recommend giving it a try.

Changed formula - stinky litter tray

Used to buy it for my cat 2 years in a row and he loved it, the litter tray never had bad smell, until the last order when I received my usal 6kg pack with completely different color and size cat food pieces. My cat didn't like to eat it but I thought I will give a few weeks to see if he gets used to it. Unfortunately, his litter tray started smelling umbarably every time he went for nr2 on top of that he developed urinary tract infection. Vets explained it to be due to changes in diet.

Cats dont like

my two cats love the other applaws dry food chicken and chicken and duck but they dont touch the salmon one at all.

Allergic reaction in my cat

He enjoyed it but after a couple of weeks he developed a rash all over his body with excessive scratching and grooming. I've removed the food and he is slowly improving.

Cat has had allergic reaction - Avoid!

I rarely write reviews but as my cat has developed a skin complaint and has been losing hair after eating applaws, I wanted to make sure other people were aware of this before purchasing. Since buying it I have since read several reviews saying similar which I wish I had read first. I'd recommend a different brand or you may be putting your cat's health at risk.

Citrus extract is toxic to cats

I was going to buy some of this, then read the reviews of numerous cats being sick and pulling their fur out. I read up about citrus extract, which one reviewer mentioned because it's an ingredient, and found that it is toxic to cats, so I won't be buying it.

used as a complimentary snack for the greedy felines -wont eat a meal without some treats so we sprinkle a bit of this on their very expense raw food!

I now have 2 cats and a third that visits! Have fed applaws wet and dry to all Salmon flavoured dry food is the favourite, all eat it with relish and are looking good Rag Doll cross vomits when fed wet chicken, so stopped giving it Particularly like 7.5 kg size

My older cat loves these and the large packs are a bargain, in a well known pet store these are £19.99. Really good quality ingredients.

Goes down well...but comes back up!

This cat food seems great in terms of the ingredients but all 3 of my male cats were constantly hungry and looking for more food. 2 of the 3 (the 2 gingers) are repeatedly sick with this stuff. What a shame I had hoped I had found a food that would suit us. Back to the drawing board.

Mixed review - good and bad

I have fed Applaws since 2013 when my cats were kittens. Switched to adult with no problems + have fed Applaws chicken since. About 1 year ago, look + smell of kibble changed + cats went off the chicken one but still scoff down chicken + salmon (hence the 2nd star). Projectile vomiting is common with pure chicken and non-existant with chicken + salmon. They HATE the rice in the Applaws wet food. Change in recipe obvious. Too bad.
