Weaning young cats from their mothers' milk can be difficult, particularly if the food is not specially tailored to your kitten's needs. That is why this Royal Canin Kitten in Jelly has been specially developed for growing kittens, with tailored size and texture of chunks.
The development of bodily defences in kittens is supported by the special nutrient complex with vitamins E and C. This Royal Canin Kitten in Jelly is also enriched with omega-3 fatty acids (DHA) to support healthy brain development and vision. Each pouch also contains highly-digestible proteins as well as beneficial prebiotics for natural digestion.

Changing from one food to another should be done gradually so your cat's intestinal flora has sufficient time to adapt to a new food. Over 7 days, mix Royal Canin wet food in gradually increasing proportions into your cat's existing diet. This gradual adaptation lowers the risk of diarrhoea. Excessive food intake may also cause digestive problems.
Please note that these are guidelines only. Actual feeding amounts should be adjusted according to your cat's age, activity levels and circumstances. Monitor your cat's weight and adjust feeding amounts as required. Daily amounts should be offered spread over two portions a day. Fresh water should be provided at all times.

Perfect for my Kitten
When we originally got him he was on whiskers and I don’t particularly like that brand. I did research and royal canine is vet recommended and I have seen Lots of good things about this brand. I made the switch and my kitten loves it he eats is all where as with the whiskers he would just lick the jelly off. I would definitely recommend. It smells so much better then whiskers as well smells much more meat like and more natural unlike the foul smell of whiskers.

My Ragcoon turned his nose up
Shame they changed the size of pieces
I was advised to try this product for my underweight cat to help her gain weight after recovery from a long illness. Initially, she went mad for it - however, I noticed that the size of the pieces has been altered and are now larger than they used to be (almost double the size). I thought i was going mad, but after comparing it to an older package, it is clear that the size has indeed changed, and as a result, my cat is not as keen on it anymore. Such a shame.

Side Effects After Every Feed
My Persian kittens had a very odd side effect with this food. They would go absolutely crazy as if they were possessed straight after a feed and it would last a good 90 minutes maybe more with no let up. It’s most definitely the sugar content. I have stopped this food and my kittens are back to being happy. I will not be purchasing this product again.
Poor ingredients
I stopped giving this to my kittens when I realised it contains grains and sugar! This is nonsense food and definitely not good for them.

Perfect chunks for little mouths
Both male bengal kittens absolutely love this! Very vocal about getting their breakfast on a morning which is wet gravy or jelly royal canin kitten.
They were previously on whiskers kitten pouches when they came to us.
One kitten in particular really struggled with loose and runny poo for about a month. Now hes been on this for a few weeks and his bowels are nice and normal now 🙂

My kitten did not like it
My kitten did not like, also I think because the pieces were so small, and she was dropping it everywhere since she was teething, unlike all the other foods.
I had to waste the food, luckily I gave it to a kitten shelter.

Good for sensitive syphnx kitten
My little kitten had loose poo issues when she first came to us, after changing to Royal Canin wet & dry food- no issues!! Poo is not loose, runny or horrific smelling!!
Kitten adores the jelly food, although I feel a little more jelly would be great!

Maine coon

Expensive food for what it is
Unfortunatly my kitten wont eat any of the healthier higher meat content food he likes this but im not happy with it as it to low in meat and to much grain. So im having to mix this with james wellbeloved pouches so he gets some healthier food as well.

My kitten used to eat it, but now she doesnt want it anymore. If she sees that I've put the Jelly one in her bowl she just walks away lol

Great quality
My kittens are now 8 months & have been eating this twice a day since 2 months, along with the royal canin kitten biscuits. They love the small chunks and always eat it all. I've also tried the gravy one but they will only eat this. Will move onto the sdult when it's time.

Kitten doesn't eat this anymore
I have always fed my kitten with Royal Canine Kitten wet and dry food and she was eating it fine however the last time i ordered Royal Canine Wet food which was in August/September she stopped eating it. The food smells like burnt meat. I am feeding her with Encore now which is a bit expesive.

Our cat stopped eating the new recipe.
Our cat used to love it and used to get very excited when we opened a pack. But from the time of change of recipe he has refused to touch it. The smell has changed, the pieces are too small and they dry out. It's a shame they changed the recipe. It's horrible now.

So tiny! the cats get it everywhere!
More ends up on the floor than in their mouth. Much preferred the old version with larger chunks, I am constantly stepping in bits of cat food!

Why did they change it!!
It was perfect for my cats, then Royal Canin changed it to smaller pieces which will dry fast. Also the smell of the food is different. I will not buy any more of this.
