Changing from one food to another should be done gradually so your cat's intestinal flora has sufficient time to adapt to a new food. Over 7 days, mix Royal Canin wet food in gradually increasing proportions into your cat's existing diet. This gradual adaptation lowers the risk of diarrhoea. Excessive food intake may also cause digestive problems.

Please note that these are guidelines only. Actual feeding amounts should be adjusted according to your cat's age, activity levels and circumstances. Monitor your cat's weight and adjust feeding amounts as required. Daily amounts should be offered spread over two portions a day. Fresh water should be provided at all times.

Mitzu's favourite
One of my rescues will only ever have this for breakfast, loves the stuff. Could do with being less expensive.

Our two ragdolls love RC Instinctive gravy food and pester me every morning for their portion.

royal canin instinctive/ gravy
I thought this would be better for my ragdoll as a one pouch alternative to his usual food which he just licks the gravy off. He liked it, but it just made him very sick, despite only giving him a teaspoon at first. Was very sick within minutes. I feel I wasted my money. Now the pack is opened I cannot return it. :-(

Good quality food
We've got a Maine Coon with a sensitive stomach/megacolon and we find that this is one of the few foods he tolerates well. He always finishes the bowl - we actually waste very little. His coat has improved and it keeps the weight off. Anything that limits the number of "bum baths" I have to give the long haired monster is alright by me.

Ragdoll will not entertain this food
I bought this food for my 1 year old Female Ragdoll, as a move from junior food (she usually has Royal Canin Kitten in Gravy). Unfortunately it did not appeal at all. The gravy is quite thick and the aroma is bland.

My fussy cats love it
Oh gosh. Had a nightmare transitioning my two cats to adult food. Tried at least 6 brands and wastes a lot on money until I finally found this one. What a relief. Like other reviews they also won’t touch the jelly version.

Cats love it
Our cats love this food. We tried the instinctive jelly as they both loved the kitten version but they wouldn't touch it. They much prefer the gravy. We put it in the fridge which makes the gravy thicker which they like even more.

Cat has gone off it
I don't know why but my cat has gone off it lately and when placed out for her she looks at it and walks away. As a back up I had to get some Purina and she demolished it and never left one bit in her bowl, which is really unusual. I have also noticed an awful smell from the Royal Canin pouch so something definitely not right. I now have to look for an alternative as I don't wish to feed her Purina for 2 long. I must have at least 20 pouches of the Royal Canin left and it seems such a waste.

The best nutrition I've given my cats
My cats have never been healthier. The older one loves the instinctive with gravy. While the younger one loves the granules. Is very gentle on their gut, and really reduced the odor of their poop.

My kitty loves it!
My kitty has been a fan of this one since the first time she tasted it. She eats all of it in her bowl and licks it clean. She loooves the sauce

Good - but inconsistent
Our one and a half year old cat loves this food. She's extremely healthy and in excellent condition on it. But every now and then, we'll get a packet, or sometimes a whole box of 12 that she just completely refuses for no apparent reason. We've no idea why, we can only assume it comes from a different factory or something? We feed her Royal Canin Fit32 dry food in the morning and a pouch of this in the evening.

The only Food my British Shorthair will eat!
I have the fussiest British SH, who is so picky about what he eats. I have tried most of the top brands on the market and the wet food he loves the most is RC wet (Hairball) in pouches. He is not a big eater so I can get 3 portions out of one pouch. The only DRY food he eats as well happens to be Royal Canin for British Shorthair - KITTEN

This food is unbeatable for regular feeding
My two Persian rescue cats love this food. They have been eating it as their chief food for several months and have never gotten tired of it or had any upset. I give them a dry food supplement and occasionally another type of Royal Canine, but this is their staple.

My cats turn away
I agree with others - the ingredients must have changed. I have boxes of this version and they won't touch it. If it is made from offal, then I am not surprised! It would be good to get feedback from the manufacturer please.
