Complete nutritional food for cats that contains just a single source of both animal protein and carbohydrates. Includes rapeseed oil to promote healthy skin and a glossy coat.
Integra Protect Sensitive is a cat food designed to suit cats that have intolerances to particular ingredients. Symptoms such as digestive problems, vomiting, diarrhoea, or skin and coat problems such as hair loss and itching are typical signs of nutritional allergies. This can be effectively treated by using food with a single source of protein and carbohydrates, as this minimises the potential of possible allergic reactions.
Integra Protect Sensitive has been developed with this in mind, and contains a reduced yet tasty selection of ingredients that have low allergenic potential. The single source of carbohydrates is gluten-free rice or potato. Rapeseed oil provides valuable omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and helps to reduce skin reactions, while the specific combination of minerals works to counteract the risk of struvite and calcium oxalate urinary stones.
Integra Protect Sensitive at a glance:
Complete wet cat food for cats with sensitive digestive systems or food intolerances
Reduced list of ingredients: to minimise the potential of an allergic reaction
Mono-protein: uses just a single source of animal protein
Helps to relieve symptoms such as diarrhoea, vomiting, hair loss and itching
Gluten-free: contains either easily digestible rice or nutritious potatoes as the only source of carbohydrates
Rapeseed oil: for healthy skin and a glossy coat
Prevention of urinary stones: mineral content helps to dissolve struvite and calcium oxalate stones
Free from sugar, soya, or artificial additives
Due to its balanced composition, Integra Sensitive has both a high palatability and acceptance rate in the lifetime feeding of sensitive cats.
I bought this product as we had tried our cat with the product in foil trays but tins are easier to recycle. Very disappointed. It was speckled with fat and I found large blob of fat at bottom. As for our cats thoughts..he threw it back up straight away. Tried it on 2 of other 7 cats and they just turned their noses up and they are the ones that usually try to pinch the sensitive food. Wont be buying again.

Not for us!
I bought the lamb variety and most of the time my cat just threw it straight back up. Very disappointed as Animonda products are usually so palatable

Not the same as the trays
My cat Colin has suspected ibd, he seemed to perk up on the integra protect sensitive trays, (Kattovit and JWB haven't worked), so I ordered some tins.
The tins are not the same as the trays, it smells worse, different texture (not as smooth), and has big bits of offal and gristle in it. It is now the saturday after starting him on the tins tuesday, and Colin is back to vomiting and diarrhoea since yesterday.
Very annoyed, have to order the trays, and have nothing to feed him until they come.

This is not a review, but I spend a lot of time researching the ingredients of cat food recommended for cats with digestive issues. While the ingredients seem great I am concerned that this food is labeled complete when it does not contain taurine. This is essential for cats.

Perfect, very happy
When I got my 12 year old cat from the shelter she had gastro-intestinal problems. I gave her Grau for a while as an easily digestible food, but she couldn't tolerate it and had bloating and diarrhoea. From then on I began the search for a food that fit her. Some of them she wouldn't eat, some of them she loved but couldn't digest. After 2 years, Integra is the best one in terms of acceptance and tolerance. The 100g trays and the 200g tins are both great. The food has a pleasant smell and a good consistency. She eats it up immediately and enjoys it a lot. She doesn't really like the lamb one but she doesn't like lamb in general so I think that's just her preference.

very well tolerated
Since my oldest cat has been eating this food, she's only vomited rarely. With other types of food she used to throw up every day! To avoid her eating the other cat's food (which she can't digest!), I now feed all of my cats Integra sensitive, and they all love it. Their favourite is the turkey with potato!

Good for sensitive cats
This has proved to be the best food for our eleven month old RagaMuffin kitten. He has had intermittent diarrhoea throughout his life. (He initially had treatment for campylobacter, but that has not solved his problems. He has been tested free of parasites/Protozoa). We are continuing our investigations, and suspect some kind of absorption issue along with sensitivity, but in the meantime the Integra lamb and rice has proved to be the best food for him. If he has eaten anything with even the tinyest amount of chicken he gets an upset tummy and this food sorts him out. He is also ok on the other sensitive flavours, but they aren't quite so good at sorting the tummy when it is runny. It is quite a solid food and takes some chewing, but this is good exercise for his jaws and he loves it.

Great!
Smells delicious, has a pleasant consistency. My cat is very picky about her food but she eats this immediately. So far this is the best food my cat has ever had. She has food intolerances but this one food seems to be accepted by her. So we'll definitely be ordering again!

Super for allergies!
We have used this food to try and solve our cat's allergy problems, and she tolerates it very well. She eats it as if she's ravenous every time.

No more throwing up !
Having been on the best high street food I could find, it wasn't good enough. I tried this and the Kattovit and both stopped her vomiting. But even better, I am now feeding her almost HALF of what I was feeding her before and she was always hungry.
So, happier and less hungry cat = happy owner.

Expensive gristle
We bought this because our cat has a very sensitive stomach. He had been on the same food for a while and had become resigned and sad at meal times so we looked for foods to add variety to his meals. This product was very solid when cut up and was just full of gristle and inedible bits, We salvaged a tiny bit and our cat wouldn't touch it.

excellent stuff
Luckily my cat enjoys both flavours and it really works. He has a sensitive stomach and all other kinds of cat foods (I've tried lots!) gave him the runs. So we are both very pleased with integra.

Does what it says on the tin!
This is a good food for cats who cannot tolerate ordinary cat food. Mine much prefers the lamb flavour to the turkey one which he isn't keen on. However I think the kattovit products (gastro & sensitive protein) work out at as better value because your cat doesn't need to eat as large a quantity in a day of those ones.
