It’s empty in here!
I would say this gerbilarium has plenty space for two gerbils (But not suitable for four gerbils). I like that the tank has a good depth for burrowing. Enough space for toys. Upstairs/downstairs -two levels to explore. The accessories that come with this are good especially the plastic tube. My only concern is the upper level having a wire floor. Don't want gerbils to catch their legs, so iv put cardboard over it. Also easy to replace when soiled and saves poop falling to lower level
The cage is very good the only problem is sawdust keeps coming out all over the place
I brought this for my 2 gerbils there is plenty of room abd they absolutely love it recommended to any gerbil lovers out there
I bought this cage many years ago on another account. I actually have a youtube video of my review, you can find it here: http://youtu.be/3kJINLlOWVA :)
My daughter has a syrain hamster we have just bought this cage and it is perfect if you feel that your animal deserves a good life there is loads of room and snowflake loves it. If there is any negatives about it, it could come with a platform thats not all wire but the size is brilliant. Don't expect any instructions because there are none but stop and think and it's not too hard. Hopefully Snowflake will live a long and happy life in it.
I fill the base with loads of wood shavings and my hamster loves burrowing in it. He also nests in it with the addition of shredded paper bedding. There's plenty of room for him to climb and move around and the cage is well aerated due to the wire top half. the wheel is good too. Overall, although pricey, this is a good quality, spacious cage for a hamster and very easy to clean.
Cage is good quality, it arrived on time, good packaging, nothing damaged. The 25 cm (10 inch) base is an excellent depth for tunneling. We filled it with wood shavings and since moving in, Treacle and Honey behave like gerbils for the first time, digging and tunneling! Before, they had a temporary hampster home with a shallow base which is just not right for gerbils. They love the plastic tunnel, room for two, but we had to take it away after a while because Honey started to chew it! However they seem very content with a thick cardboard tube sunk into the shavings and have made tunnels from under two bottomless wooden houses (our own). There is plenty of room on the upper level. I have fitted our own exercise wheel to the cage (which Treacle and Honey are not that bothered about) and it is good to have the food bowl and water up there, away from the base. For now we are keeping the orange wire upper level and ladder in place – it is good quality – but I am concerned about their little feet and legs getting stuck. So it will be replaced with the wooden walkways (purchased with the cage which have little hooks on the ends) and a suspended piece of driftwood. Excellent door - nice and big, it's easy to get your hands in with a good clasp. The base colour is disappointing, it's not a pale turquoise colour as shown, but green. Treacle and Honey do not object to it though – they seem very content in this roomy home.
