This is a great product, but the cost of the replacement refills is ridiculous. Purchased a 3 pack just over 12 months ago for £9.99, and now they are £15.99, that's a 60% increase in cost. It's only a long scented plastic bag after all.
Perfect for my 3 boys
I was dubious avouting purchasing a litter champ to start, now I wonder why I didn't sooner. Excellent odour control. Keeps it well contained and takes up minimal space. I've had it for 5 weeks now and I'm still on the first bag of liners (I have 3 boys). Even with Daily litter picking and weekly deep clean, I think the extra 3 replacements will keep us going for a while.

no refills
Love this product as my grandson who has a disability could manage this well when caring for our 2 cats so disappointed no more refills for it .Having been a customer for 7 years feel let down.

Makes litter management so easy!
What a wonderful invention. Makes litter management so easy. We have nowhere else to keep it other than in the kitchen and it never smells even though the spring of the inside lid broke after a couple of years it still doesn't smell!

Litter Champ Refill
Very poor customer service to sell the product and not the refill with no ongoing support. If we change product now Zooplus should be refunding the litter champ cost.

we need replacement bags !
great bin, but now useless as the replacement bags aren’t abailable to buy. not happy !
Excellent products but...
Made null and void by ceasing too sell replacement bags. I endorse the customer who said do not buy this product from Zooplus, or anyone else, unless they sell the replacement bags. A total waste of a perfectly good product. Very disappointed customer of long standing.

Litter Champ Refills
Just logged in to purchase my next batch of Litter Champ Refils to find that you don’t do them anymore,
Very disappointed and not happy as time will now have to be spent searching for refills
Oh well, less money in your pocket
No more refills!
Had this product for many years and was very happy with it. Now they stopped selling refill bags, which renders it useless.

Excuse me, where's the replacement bags?
What kind of service is this at least as long as you are selling the actual Litter Champ itself. Almost think they are discontinued but if so not warning of that is rather shitty.

Great bin...but why stop selling refills?
Had the Litter Champ for years, best litter bin we've had. Went online before Christmas to order more liners to find no longer being sold. Can't find them anywhere.
Have since found that the Korbell 15 or 16 litre nappy bin uses the same refill system. We've found a cheaper compatible brand and currently using those in our Litter Champ. Perfect!!

Great product, shame Zooplus aren't selling the refill bags
Absolutely love my Litter Champ bin, have had it for about 5 years and it works great, keeps smells away and is easy to use and clean. Just really frustrated that ZooPlus aren't selling the refill bags anymore as there is no point having the product without the refills. Don't buy this if you haven't found somewhere to get the refills as there is just no point

Litter Champ Bags
Replacement bags gone?
I have the same opinion as Maria
I have had this item for years, very practical. to go onto the website today and see that you are not selling the replacement bags anymore? Only the bin or the bags +bin? Where am I supposed to get them from now? Also the person I spoke today was not prepared to note that there are customers who want the bags. What is the point of selling the litter champ itself without the refills. I too am disappointed

I’m just about to order my 3rd litter champ in 4 years after the spring in the lid keeps breaking , other than that I find it ok

Brilliant
Had the litter champ for ages now. It's still going strong. My only concern is that the replacement bags r very expensive. I use alot as I've got 6 cats so I've got 3 large litter boxes. Other than that great item
Better than Litter Locker II
Bought the Litter Champ first and used for 3 cats. Read reviews on the Litter Locker II and thought I would give it a go as the Litter Champ could be a bit fiddly to empty. The Litter Locker II was terrible in cmparison. The replacement cartridges didnt fit properly, it was terrible to empty and was smaller all round so required emptying more frequently. The Litter champ is streaks ahead. When combined with OKO Clumping cat litter it lasts a week. I wont be changing away from this again.

Revolutionary product for indoor cats!
Life just got a whole lot better after we purchased the Litter Champ. It looks smart & works so well. Convenient & no smells. I give the outside a clean about once a week and when I change the cassette (which lasts 3 - 4 months with 2 indoor cats) I give the entire unit a clean so it needs little maintenance. However, after a couple of years' use the flap has finally broken off completely despite careful use. This is a weakness which I think should be improved. Let's see if it now gets smelly.

Very pleased
I brought this bin after I changed from flushable litter to clumping clay. I hadn’t used it as I was just scooping into compostable bags. But I got it out to use as my friend was looking after my two boys for a week while we were on holiday. Bless her she’s really not a pet person (very germaphobe) so I though it might make the task of poop scooping a little more bareable for her. Which it was, I must admit I was sceptical of how well it would seal the smell for a week. But it did! 😀

The best solution for me
Used this for years along with wood pellet litter (turns to sawdust) and it works brilliantly. Its way better than using with bags or trying to flush down the toilet.
Have never noticed any smells but perhaps this is masked by the wood litter (it absorbs smells pretty well) or by regularly changing.
The flap is narrow and sometimes you can spill but it depends on hte size of scoop and how much you are trying to shovel in. A small price to pay for its compact footprint.
|
Valerie Batty
Excellent with modifications (word limit stops me saying more
Scoop is rubbish, too many holes, get another if you want to go that way. The snap shut top in the bin is fabulous. They have missed a trick with the bin top, domed would have allowed a perfume unit to be stuck on. The bin liners are good but I have found the smallest size of a well known manufacturer works better for me, then let it drop into the liner, which also works perfectly.
I had a sometimes smelly room before now it smells wonderful. I could do with another downstairs really.
Prefer to litter locker but still room for improvement
I've not had this product long but prefer it to the litter locker - this seems to have a larger capacity, is easier to remove the bag of litter through the door and should be easier to use or normal bin liner or similar if you run out of bags. Instructions provided were clear.
To improve:
- The colour is kind of cream/beige. I'd prefer if the whole thing was grey or proper white
- The holes in the scoop are too big
- It would be better if the hole for the litter opened when pedal was pressed

Wizz Catz Rescue
Better than I thought!
Used by 9 cats
Room has 5 large litter boxes (storage boxes)
Other litter boxes are available elsewhere
Litter used is fine and scented
Use my own litter scoop which is smaller
Needs changing every two days
Could do with lid staying up on its own
I bring the trays to the bin
For me this is great as I check the trays on a regular basis and this is the room the cats sleep in so makes litter tray patrol a lot easier! Scented litter keeps the smell down so no problems there.

Lisa
Very handy, easy to use, minimal smell
My cat litter was flushable but tracking was an issue so I switched to clumping clay. Very little tracking but no flushing so Litter Champ provided the solution.
To keep odours at bay I bag & tie the waste, keep the lid locked (this makes a difference for some reason) and with each emptying I clean the bin inside and out with antibacterial spray to start afresh for another week or two.
Very handy and none of my guests have even noticed it, so it's innocuous as well. Recommended.

Why did I not buy this years ago!
It is so easy- it is tidy, it does not smell and it get emptied every other week on bin day- for two indoor cats that is fab because you ignore it the rest of the time. The children use it as a bathroom bin too and because it is clean and tidy it is fab. If you fancied making biodegradable bags I would have two- one for wee litter which can go in our garden waste bin and one for poo which can't and actually a third for kitchen waste!

Jeannette Ajebucats
worst money ever spend!!!
the inner lit does not open automatically and if you push it open with the scoop containing litter, it will end on the floor - and the hole is too small :-(
|
Fi
Great idea but poorly executed
The top slot to deposit the soiled litter is not big enough so if you have a fully-laden shovel, it spills everywhere and you end up picking bits off the floor.
Despite utilising plastic bags (double bagging) the bin now smells after a couple of months.
A must for a multiple cat house
I love mine albeit a little noisy when opening up to remove the bag. I move the litter tray closer to the Little Champ and I only remove the amount of bag that has litter in it allowing a bit extra so as it can be tied, knot the end of the roll for the next day use, occasionally if the cat litter tray has only had a little use then I will lock the Little Champ lid and leave until the next day.

needs improvement
Ive had this bin about 2yrs now and its a fab idea. However I've only given 2 stars as it need a lot of improvement.
1) it needs a handle as it's so hard to carry around from box to box etc when nearly full/full.
2) the door keeps popping open when you do pick it up and it's full.
3) I don't use the flap part as find its messy when "posting" the litter, so open it all up on the top instead, of which needs to be peddle activated also, so as you still dont need to touch it.
If these 3 improvements were made then I'd definitely give it a 5star rating as it's a great idea.
I must admit that after a while it does get smelly. I just resolve this by everyone I empty a sack I wash the whole bin out with bleach in the bath and dry well.

Absorbs bad smells
The Litter champ is great idea; it exists for the of my storing small bags of used cat litter until it's time to throw them all away, which for me was once a week. I used the prescribed Litter Champ liners and additionally used cat poo bags.
The reason I've only given Litter Champ one star is because after a few months the plastic had absorbed all the nasty smells of the litter tray. It's all very well having multiple seals to contain itter odours but not much use when the plastic itself stinks of cat poo. I tried everything to get rid of the smell including leaving the bin in the garden for 48 hours, cleaning with bicarbonate of soda, cleaning with proprietary cleaners, but none of them worked, and ultimately after six months I had to throw the bin away.
This is such a great idea but it needs to be made of a non-absorbent material, for example stainless steel, because In its current form it is not fit for the purpose for which it was designed; surely grounds for it to be suspended from sale.I would have returned it the under warranty but its bulky, I no longer had the original packaging, and the postage cost would have been prohibitive.
Save yourself the hassle and don't buy this until it is made of a non-absorbent material.

Easy to use
I'm really glad I bought this -- I don't need to think about soiled litter at all, I just pop it in here. It's very easy to remove a full bag and get an empty one by pulling down another length of the bag tubing that comes with it. So far I have been using it for two months with one cat and I haven't yet had to put in another bag cartridge.

Litter Locker
The top lid has never fitted and now the inside lid has broken on one side, and this is after
less than six months use , will have to go back to the litter locker even if the replacements are more much better product even after 3 years.

Great product but....
I brought this Litter Champ so that I could avoid taking our kitten's litter outside every time. I am relatively happy with it as it looks good, sits nicely in the corner of our bathroom, but the only thing is that when the trap opens; the smell welts through the air like decomposing bat. I kid you not!
We have had this bin for a good few months now, and I wanted to give it a fair review. It must be noted that we do not put the litter in the bin directly; we place it in a bag first. I have also thought of ways to eliminate the smell by cleverly purchasing scented baby nappy sacks to put the litter in, but that doesn't help either.
I am about to line the bottom with a scented draw liner but I don't have much hope that it would work, but it is worth a try.
I must say, that despite this flaw, I do not regret buying it. I only just hold my breath for the miller second that the trap is open for. Other than that, the smell is contained very well in the bin.
The bin liners are very easy to change; just read the instructions on the box and yay-presto! It's in. And I have calculated that we probably go through 1 bin liner every two to three months.
I purchased the additional liners when I brought the bin (3 pack) and the bin comes with one liner anyway. That means, by the end of the year we should need to buy a few more. Not bad at all.
It is easy to wipe clean, easy to use, and I kinder like the scoop that it comes with better than the scoops that I have purchased for our growing kitten, who is now 9 months old (sept/15)
Good purchase, I would definitely recommend, I only wish the designer could come up with a solution to that 3 second woof of smell. That is the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star.
(by the way, even changing it every day doesn't help, it just adds to the waste of plastic)

A few problems
There are a few problems with the litter champ:
1) there should be a handle to make it easier to pick up
2) the bag material has such a strong and unpleasant smell. Why is this?
Otherwise a very useful item
|
Julia
My litter champ went in the bin!
Can't believe all the 5 star reviews. It absorbed all the bad smells to the point of the bin smelling as bad as the waste and every time you opened it to dispose of more, the smell will hit you. I tried to empty it as often as every couple of days and even put waste in additional small bags, but it didn't help. I threw it out. What a complete waste of money. They should make it out of steel which doesn't absorb bad smells.

Suzanne
Must Have for indoor cats!!
In so glad I bought this at first I was thinking that's a lot of money for a fancy bin, but it is well worth the money and it does keep the smell away!
The internal bags last me a month with 3 cats. I empty weekly and they are quite strong too so holds well.
Litter Champ
I bought this and as well as a new litter box and am really pleased with both - Litter Champ does what it says 'Locks smells in' and is very easy to use.

Excellent! Also, here is a great tip to enhance it...
So I bought this over a year ago and have not looked back since! It's a great idea to have the house smelling great again! As soon as my two cats go, we use it to move their litter into it... But Here is the tip: when I collect the list I actually collect it in a small plastic bag (like the ones you use to freeze food in - bought from tesco) - close the bad and then put the page in size littler champion... Now It's super sealed and it will never smell, even if it's full to the bring with other bags!
Like this it's very convenient and I empty it once every two weeks!
Result!
Fantastic
I love this. I have recently bought another to have downstairs for the emergency litter tray for my 2 x 22 yr old cats. It makes my life very easy and there is no smell. So as long as I empty the trays as soon as they are used there is no cat smell at all In my house. Love it!

Litter Champ - Little Gem
I have owned a Litter Champ for about a year and I wouldn't be without it. It locks in smells (we put our clumping cat litter in swing bin liners first) then into the litter champ. Every fortnight it gets changed when we have our refuse collection. Couldn't be easier or more practical. So good in fact, we have one for our own bathroom. No more smelly bins!!
Bin itself starting to smell
This product is decent for purpose: it stores the cat poop and eliminates odour to a relatively good extent, meaning less frequent runs to the trash disposal. I live in a small apartment on one of the upper floors so it is important that odours such as these are minimised as much as possible, otherwise they tend to pervade the entire flat, unless I intend to constantly run downstairs to dispose. At first, I was very pleased with this product because not having to run downstairs immediately after scooping is a great convenience. What I have found after a few weeks of owning this product, however, is that the bin itself and the bags, being made of plastic, have taken on the smell of the cat poo. This means that even if empty, the bin itself now smells highly unpleasant and the odour is starting to leach into the room that it is in. I have thought of placing a bowl of bicarb or silica crystals in the compartment to aid absorption of these odours but have yet to see how effective this will be.
I think the product is an effective design but that it needs to be made of materials that do not absorb odours, such as metal. It would be useful to know if anyone else has found this happening too. Also, as stated by another reviewer, it is rather unpleasant when emptying and the smell lingers for a good while thereafter. Naturally this will also depend on how often you empty it. I tend to do this every few days. Unlike other users, I do NOT place the poo in a smaller bag before placing in the Litter Champ as I would like to reduce the amount of my household waste overall and it's also friendlier on my pocket.
For an apartment, I still think this is one of the best solutions but I haven't used the other leading brand product to be able to comprehensively compare. Nonetheless, I know this has made my life much easier than placing the poo in a normal bin or having to run downstairs. If Litter Champ could be made in metal, I would not hesitate to purchase.

Not as good as promised
I don't quite understand how this is supposed to be "triple sealed". You still get a strong odour when depositing the waste into it. I need to put air freshener next to it to keep the room from smelling awful. It's certainly better than having to empty a bin every day, but I found it a bit disappointing after all the great reviews.

This years best buy
I'm very impressed with this it makes a huge difference for me with 4 stinky moggies to cater for.i still bag the waste before dropping it in to the container and then on bin day it's so easy to open up cut off and dispose of the bag full of waste then simply tie it at the bottom ready to refill again.love it.just reordered the spare bags as it'll get used plenty.much nicer system for when I have pet sitter here too makes life easier all round.

Perfect buy
I can understand why this product is so popular, it is perfect for my 9 cats and 1 kitten, it is so easy to use, no smell, no need to touch the item at all with your hands, just a simple foot peddle to press to open the lid, when it needs a good wipe I just set the lid to lock, then wipe clean, simple, my best buy in a long time.

No smell, no fuss
We bought this for our 2 indoor kittens and it's been fantastic. You can put it pretty much anywhere in the house and as it locks in the smell so you'd never really know it was there - we did move it from the kitchen to the bathroom because there is a smell when emptying the bin, but only momentarily while it's open though you can't smell anything when it's closed. Great buy though, we definitely recommend it.

Dissapointed
After reading the reviews for this product I thought it would be a great idea as it's bigger than my litter locker 2, but no one mentioned that when you put soiled and dirty litter in it,that it smells like a dirty nappy so no use for its intended purpose whatsoever. It now sits in the cupboard while I've stuck with my litter locker 2. Absolutely no smell from that.
Game Changer
Bought this bin after recently adopting 2 kittens. As I live in an upstairs apartment, running up and down to the outside bin several times a day to ensure my apartment didn't smell like 'Crazy Cat Lady House' was very tiresome. I have been using this bin for 3 days now and I cannot believe how different things are! No odour, no mess! No tired legs for me! Highly recommended!!
Great purchase
This is one of the best value products for cat owners whose cats use litter trays, ever. I was slightly sceptical-especially at the relatively cheap price, but it's absolutely magic. Replacement cartridges last for ages (I change a the bag about once a week with two large British shorthair cats) and you must get at least 20 bags out of one cartridge. Clean, tidy, contains smells and saves endless trips to the outside bin. Such a simple idea, yet it works so well. Excellent.

No mess, no smell - this sorted my life

Simple & Effective
I have 4 indoor cats and this has been one of my best purchases for them to date. It is simple to put in the new bag and to remove the full one, and there is no smell whatsoever. The bag lasts approx a 5 days for me and the roll of replacements works out good value. The only thing that would make this perfect is if there was a strong handle on it for moving it between each litter tray, as it is quite heavy as it fills up.
Excellent
We have three house cats and would not be without our "Litter Champ". It's a must have!

The Litter Champ is just that: The champ! It is very easy to use and to keep clean. The bags last a long time, and having it by the litter tray is so much better than having to go outside to the bins all the time, especially in winter.
I've had it over a year and it is very durable and still looks and works like new. I highly recommend it.

Changed my life!
I don't know how I coped without this!!
It makes cleaning the litter trays much easier and cleaner. And the Litter Champ is so well designed as well - emptying it is very easy, and the bags last for absolutely ages.
Great invention!
After having tired of having to go out to the bin to throw out my vat litter I discovered this wonderful contraption. Easy to use and change the bags and having the lockable inner lid keeps smells at bay!

Awkward
I bought a Litter Champ when Zooplus stopped stocking Litter Locker. Immediately, I found this product much less user friendly. It acts rather like a pedal bin with a foot pedal but, as the litter tray is on the floor, I end up pressing the foot pedal with my left hand while scooping the litter with my right. I also find that the locking button is easily locked by simply nudging it which means that I have to put the full scoop back into the litter tray to use my free hand to unlock it then refill the scoop and carefully empty it into the bin. The scoop holder is very weak and broke away from the unit so the scoop now lies separately rather than neatly hanging on the side of the bin.
It does have a fairly large capacity and the bags last a long time so, from that point of view, it may save money spent on refills and time on emptying but I find the foot pedal very awkward so I will not give it a higher rating.
I have recently found a local stockist of Litter Locker II so, when I have used up all the refills for the Litter Champ, I will go back to using Litter Locker II.
I hope that Zooplus will soon restock Litter Locker as I far prefer to buy my pet supplies from Zooplus due to price, customer service and delivery.

litter champ bin
We have 3 of these bins to go with the 3 large litter trays and 11 indoor cats too, it works great each one needs emptying once a week on average, the refills last ages all in all a great product, would bye another one without any hesitation, the only problem is the bin men complain the bin is heavy to move, but I can put up with that,

This is fantastic
Have 3 cats and they all seem to do their business once all the doors are locked. I put the solids in a small bag and then pop the bag in the Litter Champ. It gets emptied once a week and even in the current hot weather - there is no smell. Worth every penny. Looking forward to the winter, no more going outside in the bad weather.

brilliant
This is by far the best product that i have bought in years. With three cats in the house and a new puppy i can just pick up the poo/litter and pop it into the bin. I do use poo bags and even with the bin being in the lounge there is no smell at all.

Wish I'd bought one years ago
I looked at the Litter Champ (or something like it) several years ago but decided that I would be spending money for the sake of avoiding a short walk to the bin. I eventually ordered one four weeks ago while preparing for our new Bengal kitten to come home and it arrived the day after we collected him. With two indoor cats and three litter trays, we have just cut off the first section of bag three weeks later. It's a brilliant device - no more lingering smells, very easy to use and it's made cleaning up after our cats a much quicker and easier job. Added bonus is that our dogs no longer try to get into the bin after carrier bags of dirty cat litter!

Litter Champ
Absolutely fantastic, it has changed my life!! No more having to bag the dirty litter and take it outside to put it in the dustbin. With two indoor cats I can now check the tray and empty the dirty litter straight into the Litter Champ bin, easily without any effort. Would highly recommend.

Worth every penny.
I am so pleased with this product. No more trips to the outside bin on a wet, windy cold day. Have two cats and the refills last for ages. Worth every penny.

great for winter
i bought this because i was fed up running out to the bin during the night with dirty litter, my boys are night poopers.please note the bin does come with ROLL of liner, watch the video. i ended buying the value pack of liners will last a life time. no smells escape. i still put my dirty litter in a bag first, the scoop is great for big grain litter as the holes are large enought to allow the grains through. neat little bin doesnt take up alot of space my cats jump on it so sturdy too. would recomend, very cheap great product!!!

Annoying door catch newer models.
I see my review has been removed or not uploaded. I did phone but nobody phoned me back when I bough mine months back. any movement around the champ and the new type sliding catch slips and opens enabling the cats to scratch at the bag. My daught has the old style and it's great and I bought it on her recommendation.

Very good item..just one thing
I love this bin, and because I don't want the second flap to get dirty, I use nappy sacks for Benji's "business" and then everything is more sanitary. I don't know if it's just my bin, but the material the second flap is made of, smells very strongly of chemicals. Its so strong I have resorted to putting the bin out in the hall of the flat I live in, when I would have liked to have it in the bathroom next to her litter tray. All that said, I still like this bin
|
Ellen.
Great
This is the best thing av ever bought for my cats no mess no smell it's great
|
Sam
could be better
if both flaps opened when you pressed the pedal and the second flap was a little bigger this would be brilliant. If this was the case and the bin was a little bigger it could be used as a normal kitchen bin as well. As it is the second flap gets dirty, but the product is good.
excellent!
Works really well. Keeps the house free of any smell. Easy to use and clean.
An excellent buy
I bought this as I had 4 cats who spend most of the winter indoors with 4 litter trays. In the cold and dark it was not always practical to go out to the outside bin every time. I still use nappy sacks then put them in this bin. There is next to no smell, and I just empty it every couple of days or so.

Don't hesitate - buy it!!!!
This has so many excellent reviews for a reason - it's brilliant! I bought it initially because the price was so good (it still is!) but because I just can't stand the smell of poop (and my two Norwegien Forest kittens produce a lot and it pongs!) The scoop is very good as it leaves behind most of the litter (I like the catsan) and just picks up the poop. The pedal bin works effectively and the opening really does seem to be airtight and keeps the smell in. When it needs emptying (and it does hold a lot!) you merely open the front and pull the bag down, use the built-in slicer (which is very sharp) to cut the plastic and then simply tie off and remove. I really can't rate this gadget enough. Brilliant!!!

My Devon Rexes LOVE This!
I have a litter of 3 Rexes at the moment and two adults producing a lot of poop! This product is extremely efficient in containing smells. I emptied it this morning after 5 days. It was a breeze as the cutter is really sharp - the waste is neatly contained in a green bag distinguishing it from other household rubbish - fantastic. I have no hesitation recommending this - excellent quality and value from Zooplus!

WOW to the Litter Champ!
I am delighted with the simple to use Litter Champs that I bought for our household of 4 moggies.
They look neat and tidy, don't smell, great paddle designed for use with the LC.
Can't recommend enough. Can safely say I would now be lost without them.

Litter champ
I have two litter champs one for my kitten room and one for the stud run. The kitten room one is ideal for not only litter but other waste from cleaning etc. it doesn't smell and is out of the way. My stud run one allows me a quick place to get rid of waste. So easy to empty and nicer when the waste goes in the main bin. I would like a bigger one now to deal with the rest of house cats waste! I keep buying touch lid bins but they end up not working.

Best purchase yet!!
With being a new cat owner, I never really knew what options there were with regards to how to deal with waste cat litter. I originally started emptying waste into individual small bin bags but this got costly and weighed down my general waste bin bags. On searching for alternatives, I saw the Litter Champ and the ingenious way of how to get rid of waste cat litter.
My cleaning of the litter tray has become so much more efficient now. The magnetic scoop is such a great way to store something that was previously either lying about or away from the litter tray. Now I have everything I need close by. I like the fact that I have a separate bin for the cat litter and that there's a double lid system that helps to keep the ammonia odour to a very bare minimum - enough that you don't realise the smell unless your cleaning.
One thing I found helpful is to use odour protection powder or antibacterial powder to help with the smell, if, like me, you're a little more sensitive to the ammonia smell.
The bag system lasts about 6-8 weeks so its an idea to get replacements in bulk to avoid the need for repetitive ordering.
I'd have to say that the Litter Champ has been a life saver for a new cat owner. I'm glad I stumbled across this product, it's made things a lot simpler, efficient and faster.

A must have!
This product is amazing. It made our lives so much easiar. Looks good and it does what it says. It's odourless and easy to use. The scoop that comes with it it's also great.
If you have cats, that's definetely the way to go!

Just Brilliant!
I have 2 kittens, and the last thing I wanted to do was to go out in all weathers just to put their 'doings'in the outside bin. I also didn't want to put it all in a bag, then in the household bin due to the smell it would create. I came across the litter champ by accident, ordered one and have now had it since May. It is brilliant, there is no smell in the house,I empty it once a week,it's easy to remove and also easy to fit the refill bag. It's a really good buy. I just can't fault it!
Excellent bin!
Fantastic invention, so so pleased with it! We were putting their litter in dog poo bags but were ending up with huge piles of them outside the back door. I came across the Litter Champ by accident but decided to give it a go and couldn't be happier....no more piles of bags and no more stink! Very easy to change the liner and it really does lock in smells (although opening the lid isn't pleasant!). We do still put waste into a poo bag before it goes in the bin, which is a bit wasteful, but it means the top of the bin stays clean.

Brilliant litter bin
I have 3 indoor Maine Coons. I wish I had found this litter bin years ago! Inner bag is sturdy and easy to change and it doesn't smell. With 3 big cats in the house it needs emptied every week or so. I'd highly recommend this to any cat owner.

Impressive
After moving into a flat we desperately needed a solution to our 3 indoor cats bathroom issues, we stumbled accross the litter champ and we are quite impressed. We only put their number twos in there and we havent noticed any smell coming from the bin when the lid is closed. yet to empty it as only been using it for 3 days but very good so far!!

Oh well....
Today our Litter Champ arrived, I was very keen to try it out and I can report the following:
I have three cats and use two litter trays next to eachother in our downstairs loo. They have a lift up lid which makes it easy to scoop litter out of.
As litter trays are usually situated on the floor, I have found that it is easiest to sit on your knees in front of one and scoop used litter in a plastic bag. Using the Litter Champ I have had to either bend down to scoop the litter and then stand straight again to push down the pedal with my foot, or sit on my knees as usual and hold the pedal down with one hand.
The plastic bag inside is ok, once it is full, you use the cutter at the side, again, a little fiddly as you have to slide a button down the side and then try and pull the thing open to reveal the bag. Once you have gotten rid of the full bag, you have to tie a knot in the bottom and start again. You also need to then clean the top of the slot where the waste goes. And you have to then clean the floor.
Quite honestly, plastic carrier bags have handles which tie very easily and they also already have a bottom to them. The litter goes straight from the tray into them, without any waste going on the floor. Needless to say, I actually have a backache from using this thing.
A couple of positives:
It's cheap.
I like the scoop, as it is very sturdy.
The cats like the box it came in......

efficient
Easy to use, keeps in odours. I flush solid waste down the toilet and use this just for wet litter clumps. Holds a lot before it needs emptying. Handles on the side would make it easier to move for cleaning, but overall very useful.

Not disappointed !
Sleek design, keeps odours inside. One can use it for all sorts od smelly disposals. German product made in Korea. Made my life easier ! Highly recommend it.
Good - but needs improvement
I have 9 cats so when my husband was taken ill recently I needed something that was bigger than the litter locker & smaller than the swing bin used previously. This is a super replacement for both but I find that as I suffer from back pain it is too low as I have to bend down to use it, or sit it on a box which negates the use of the foot pedal.
It could do with being another 25cm (10 inches) or so taller, with a larger opening.Instead of the rather small litter scoop how about supplying a small brush to sweep the top off after use? No matter how careful I am I always get a few crumbs of litter spilled so a brush would be most useful.
It could also do with a carrying handle for ease of use as I have to man-handle it with both hands when I need to move it as there is nothing to pick it up with.
Hence my rating of 4 rather than the 5 I would have liked to have given.

Nice and tidy!
I love this, I used to keep a basket next to the litter tray to keep the nappy sacks and scoop etc. and now it's all in one tidy and non smelly place. Very easy to use and keep clean. Fortunately I am able to flush the solid waste, so only use this for the clumps (using cats best litter), and with 3 cats I am only needing to empty it once a week. I'm not sure I would have paid the MRP for it, but was very happy at the reduced price.

Litter Champ
I saw this on offer and never knew anything like it existed. It seemed the ideal solution after recently adopting a very fussy queen! It's absolutely fantastic for anyone with a fussy cat and a busy life. Just scoop the mess up and place it in the nicely sealed bin. All odours disappear pretty quickly too. I'd have bought one years ago if I'd known!

does a great job
I have put my Litter Champ just outside the back door, as being made entirely of plastic it won't rust - I used to use a kitchen waste caddy, with a bin liner, but had to lift the lid manually whenever I used it, so this caddy is a great improvement on that

Litter Champ
I never knew there was such a bin out there. it's great! although the instructions says you can just drop the litter straight in, I find it easier to bad the litter and drop the bag in to the bin. hands free too! wow, cool can use my foot to open the bin and drop in the bag and forget about the litter. well... that is until the bin gets full. it's easy enough to empty with the handy cutter on the door. the only thing is, mine didnt' come with a tube and I cant see what it does any way. apparently I was too late in requesting the tube. but the bin seems to function well enough without it. I have yet to put a refill in so I cant say anything about that yet. the refil bags smell lovely, its just a shame it doesn't lat once you've put in smelly kitty litter. I use OKO plus, cats best, not sure if it makes any difference with what type of litter is used though.
bottom line here is, I think it's great and a brilliant idea and much better than putting kitty litter in to my main bin as I was doing. not hygenic really. Since my kitty cat Mitzie is an indoor cat, she has to use her tray all the time. I clean out her tray once a day and so far only empty the bin once a week.
there are only two negatives I have found is the scoop falls off as it's a magnet. or maybe it's Mitzie she knocks it off. :P and I wasn't thrilled with the main price. so was really glad when it came on offer. yes? I took advantage of a price drop and so far i'm not disappointed.
actually, i've a design request, could there be a way of putting some sort of handle on it? it's a bit fiddly to get hold of if you need to move it. I do as it's in my bathrom next to Mitzie's tray. I move it when i hoover up littter spills, either by me (no, I dont use her tray) lol, or the four pawsed one when she climbs out of her tray.
a good buy and very glad I have one now. Recommended by both me and Mitzie, who loves to sit on the bin while i'm cleaning her tray.

Excellent when there's more than one!
I have had a litter champ bin now for a few weeks, and it's brilliant, I love it. I am using it in combination with Cat's Best Öko Plus Cat Litter. I was paying £16 from pets at home for the wood pellet cat litter two large bags, and it needed changing every day - all of it, sometimes twice. I was motoring through litter!
This litter and bin combo is ideal, you only thow away what's been used, and it forms a kind of gel ball, so it's easy to filter. The only down side is the finer particles of litter trail a little more but it's a small price to pay for easy litter care.
The bin makes the whole process so simple and hygenic, and it's so easy to use. Top Choice in my opinion!
A Must Have
I purchased one of these a few weeks ago and I find it so good. I hate having to go out to the bin every day to empty the litter tray and this does a perfect job. Once a week trip is so much better and that will be great in the winter months. No smells and a foot peddle to keep the bin open while cleaning up the mess. My only gripe is the magnet is not strong enough and the scoop falls off too often.
a must have if you live in a flat or have multiple cats
brought this a few weeks ago. as have to take cat litter out down a flight of stairs everytime one of my 3 indoor cats uses the litter box. and its the best thing i have brought. once the litter is in the bin there is no smell or mess. the magnetic scoop also keeps it off the floor which is more hygenic. i empty the bin every couple of days now so thats great
