The staircase is a hit for some, offering a sturdy solution for small pets to reach higher spots. Assembly is generally easy, though some struggle with the cover and find it unstable. Critiques include poor quality materials and steep steps, making it tricky for pets to descend. Despite these issues, many find it functional and a good value for money, especially for smaller dogs who need a boost.

Don’t buy!
Need to be a fully fledged carpenter to build this thing. The stairs don’t stay down. The whole thing is wonky and unstable then to top it off the zip was broken. Ps. Couldn’t even get the cover on and when you did it leaked fluff

Waste of money
This was without doubt the worst flat pack product I have ever purchased. The parts the were pre cut did not fit properly, the assembly instructions made no sense. It was so unstable I had to throw it out before my cat could even use it.
It was not safe for my elderly cat to use and I had to throw it out.
I wouldn't waste your money purchasing this.

Absolute waste of money
Don’t buy this product! Chipboard all broken, and nails that are too short for any strength.
Not good for purpose.

Does the cover fit?
Assembled it after a bit of a struggle, but then I am a 71 year-old woman. However, I simply don't know how I'm supposed to get the cover on. I've tried a couple of ways around; neither attempt comes anywhere near success. Which way is it supposed to go? How is the cover meant to be applied?

Very good
My dog loves it.
She could never get up onto my bed and used to wake me up every night.
Brilliant product

Top!
Stable staircase at a really fair price. Easy to assemble. I'll be ordering two more of these!

Stepway 4 step
I bought the 4 step version. It is not easy to assemble. It would be made easier if the nail-holes in the hardboard were pre-drilled. It is difficult to hammer nails into hardboard - and impossible if you try to do it when it is placed against the partly assembled stairs. I've had no problems with broken stairs as others have reported. The fleece cover is one piece with a zip-on base - forget the zip it hasn't the strength needed to hold itself together. It's no problem as it's just the base.

Recommended for small dogs
We've had the stairs for 4 years now. Both dogs took to them straight away. They're especially recommended for small dogs and puppies, as they shouldn't be jumping too much if possible. This way, they can easily get onto the sofa and the box spring bed without any trouble.
The quality is great too – as I said, they've lasted for over 4 years already.

Absolutely dreadful
The staircase arrives in a thousand crumbling pieces and is supposed to be assembled on-site. No, thank you.

Top 👍
I assembled the staircase today. It was all easy. Since it felt a bit unstable with just the nails, I glued the edges as well. I'm positively surprised despite some negative reviews. Curious to see if my cat will accept the staircase. For the price, top-notch 👍 Would love to upload a picture, but unfortunately, that's not possible here. Such a shame.

Steep staircase
Large Staircase: Assembly is easy if you have two people. Putting on the cover was very straightforward and it fits perfectly.
Our dog immediately used it to climb up to her vantage point on the windowsill. However, she’s still trying to avoid going down the stairs. She prefers to jump over them instead. The staircase seems a bit too steep for her. This can put strain on the elbow and shoulder joints of medium-sized dogs. The step height is too high in relation to the step depth.

Stable, assembly annoying
We bought the tall stairs because our miniature dachshund should no longer jump onto the footstool and then into the high box spring bed. Fits perfectly. After a bit of practice, the dachshund uses them effortlessly to go up, though he's still a bit hesitant going down. Assembly requires two people (one needs to hold it steady). On the plus side, it's naturally more stable than foam stairs, stands firmly, and we like the cover. In theory, the cover is washable, but even with two people, it was very difficult to put on.

Unfortunately, it's only used for walking uphill.
For my dog, a Shih Tzu, the steps are too narrow, or the staircase is too steep. She goes up the stairs but won't come down.
However, the assembly was easy, and the staircase is sturdy as well.

Okay...
For the price, I imagined it would be a purely functional staircase. And that's fine.
The slot-in system was easy to assemble, but then came the cover... People with enough fine motor skills and patience might manage to pull it over.
I failed. The zip is closed now, but unfortunately, it burst in two places.
I sewed it up. The cover can no longer be removed.
The staircase itself is fine and serves its purpose.

Improvement
The stairs are intended for my 14-year-old Pitbull. Her hind legs are no longer strong, and she can't jump anymore. The stairs aren't bad, but for their size, the steps should be deeper. I'd prefer to leave out the 4th step and make 3 deeper ones instead. My dog is unsure and immediately places her front legs on the 2nd step. She can manage normal stairs, but with these, the steps are simply too narrow.

Very sturdy
The dog stairs are just perfect for our little Lucy. She can easily get to her favourite spot by the window. It's a shame you can't attach pictures.
