My collie cross (32kg) had knee surgery in April of this year and already has a successful wide metal roll-up ramp for the back door of the house after previous hip surgery. I though something similar for the car would save stress on the knee joint post-surgery. The Dog Ramp Backstage is made of good quality material and well built. However on the minus side it is narrow and provides a very steep incline into the boot of my car. It doesn't have any sort of hook or latch to attach it too the car, just a rubber grip. My dog refused to use it and after a few attempts I gave up. I would not recommend it for a dog who is not particurly sure footed, particularly post-surgery.
