We received this dog crate, as soon as I picked the box up I started to worry about it. No weight at all. When we opened the box unpacked it and put it together, it was so flimsy I couldn’t believe it. The wire was not much thicker than a gerbil cage . This was meant be heavy duty for a large dog. Total unfit for purpose. Not sure where the reviews came from that we read. Certainly not this Dog Crate.

If you have got a puppy this is no good its dangerous my pup got her mouth trapped in between the bars

Not happy with this crate at all. The metal on it is so sharp.we have scratched ourselves a few times on it. Can't use it properly now as scared pup will get hurt on these bars and packaging etc was thrown away as didn't realise at first 😢

Unfortunately, the cage is very unstable, and the base tray has a strong chemical smell.

After just one month of use, the base tray has already broken. Very frustrating, as it cannot be purchased as a spare part. Additionally, the bars are not properly deburred and are very sharp-edged, which resulted in the dog injuring its ear and bleeding today. Not recommended.

Do not waste your time or money on this abomination! It is made from the cheapest, thinest metal possible and the plastic base is so thin its a joke. If my 6 month old puppy hadn't damaged it on the second night I would be returning it. Zooplus, you should be ashamed to sell such an atrocious product!

This item is the first ever product I have ordered from zooplus and I am returning (and I buy loads!). The build quality is poor, the door has to be lifted up to align the catches to close it. I have the Trixie plastic crates for in the car and am really pleased with them, sadly this is nowhere near the same quality. Perhaps its just the XL crate that is so flimsy and poorly built.

Based on the good reviews, I decided to go for the crate. I only used the crate for a few hours over a couple of days, but unfortunately, the bars at the front came loose. The door bars are already bent from scratching. The wire bars are unstable and slightly bent, and my dog is only about the size of a dachshund. I've now requested a replacement, but if it breaks again, I'll have to opt for a sturdier bar construction. It's a shame, as the folding mechanism is great in principle.

Our Bernese Mountain Dog-German Shepherd mix chewed through the bars at the solder joints after just 2 days. Not suitable for large, very agile dogs. The risk of injury is very high. Unfortunately, returns are not possible either.

My dog (German Shepherd) has damaged one side of the crate so badly with his teeth that the weld seam on one of the side bars has torn, and he injured his snout on this bar. As a result, I can no longer leave the dog alone in the crate because I don’t want to find my dog injured. – So what use do I have for this crate now?

At first, I was very happy with the new "throw caves," which my dogs gladly accepted. Unfortunately, various holders and door levers (welded on) fell off during setup and again a few weeks later, even though no pressure was applied to them. Nevertheless, these caves are indispensable, even though they can hardly be closed anymore. After a year of use, they are too expensive... the exchange process with zooplus is unfortunately not made easy, so I won’t be filing any further complaints. Instead, my simple conclusion: purchase from other companies with better quality.
