I purchased one of these scratch posts in October 2016 and my 2 cats loved it so much and it was so well used that the sisal started to unravel so I promptly ordered another one. I was very disappointed to find it had shrunk, not only is it shorter, the sisal post is narrower and the seat on the top is tiny, it wouldn't fit a regular adult cat, and yet it is the same price. Strictly for kittens only.

What a shame! Adopted a stray house cat, but it doesn’t like the little tree. Used to sharpen its claws on a proper tree. Only batted at the ball twice briefly. Showed it the scratching post, but unfortunately, the couch is still being used instead. Guess I’ll keep looking!

I've been using the scratching post for about half a year now. Unfortunately, I can't recommend it, as almost all of the sisal rope has already come loose. When normal-sized cats scratch their claws on it, the entire scratching post moves and wobbles excessively. My cat can only scratch her claws on it while lying down! I'll probably have to throw it away now. Not recommended!

The price-performance ratio seems good at first glance. The small scratching post is also quick to assemble. But that's about it. It's not really suitable for scratching because it's too short and too lightweight. When the cat tries to sharpen its claws, the post gets dragged across the entire room, which the cat doesn't find amusing at all. The cat can't really stretch on it, which it loves to do when sharpening its claws. The lounging area isn't ideal either, as the scratching "post" is too unstable and wobbles when the cat jumps onto it. My tip: Spend a bit more money and buy a really good model, like the scratching posts from petfun available at Zooplus. A purchase for life!!
