Looked great when it arrived. Cats love it. But the fabric on the top is too thin and soft. The cats have stripped it within days. The string area is still great to scratch but the top is now exposed cardboard and a mess.

We have had two of these previously, however the design has obviously changed since we last bought one for the worse. This is smaller - not as high, smaller sisil and the base is now rectangular not square so less stable. Not impressed, its not going to last long with 2 Maine Coons!

The material is too thin and the rope unwinds - Zooplus replaced it & the replacement did the same... they need to sell spares of each section as the base & lower part are fine :(

This scratching post is terrible, when it is assembled there is a 1cm gap between each segment, and due to this it is very wonky and wobbly, making it unsafe for the cat to sit on it. I complained about the first and was sent another, but this was exactly the same. It's just a terrible product and not worth the money! I have previously purchased the palm tree scratching post, which is so much better!

Purchased 3 of these for my cats earlier this year and by the end of the month, they looked a sorry state. The top is loose and the sissal and carpet did not hold up. Previously I had purchased 2 several years ago and the quality was a lot better and the product a lot more stable. My sister-in-law just got a kitten and I figured this would at least be good for one small cat but with the poor quality of the materials, the top is not screwing on properly at all and it is not stable. Not pleased.

We bought two of these jumbo scratch posts over the last two years for our long and strong Burmese cats who used them daily and successfully . The first replacement arrived and we were unable to screw up the two end pieces to the centre due to a reduction in the thread of the supplied screws. Once these were inserted they could then not be removed, leaving a wobbly post with gaps!Customer services replaced this but the same thing happened with the second post! A hopeless design fault!

Bought this for my BSH kitten and at first it seemed to be just what she needed. Heavy, big enough for her to climb on and it looked good. She’s still only a kitten and it’s falling to pieces. Sisal all unwinding and the fur all worn away. Didn’t think it’d last forever but 6 months is ridiculous

I have bought a number of these over the last few years. They have substituted with a very poor product. The sisal rope came off within days of the cats using it. It's about a 3rd smaller and not as robust. Extremely disappointed!

After buying this same scratch post last year (and it lasted 4 maine coons very well), I reordered hoping for the same quality...unfortunately this new one is certainly not suitable for large breeds. It's been up 5 mins and knocked over twice and there's not enough stretch room for it due to the redesign of the post. The quality of it is poor in comparison (feels much cheaper material and post is thinner and shorter). Now looking to re-cover the old one as this one won't last!

i was hoping that this scratch post was of similar quality to the other products i have purchased over the years and was surprised at how quickly it fell apart the sisal has started to come off and as for the felt covering i have clumps of the material dotted around the hallway as the kittens discovered how quickly they could peel the material. i have to throw this item away now as the cardboard at the top has caved in

I have purchased 2 of these posts in the past and each has lasted a number of years. The new I got today is not as tall and the base is smaller. Also the sisal is thinner and doesn’t extend up the post as high as my previous post. Really disappointed. I will put photos showing the difference.

I still have an older version of the post ( 5 years) unfortunately the new version of the post is a very poor quality especially the top plush and the sisal is not so good as used to, I had to replace it 3 times within 2 weeks.

My two cats loved taking turns climbing up the tall pole and sitting on the top. Unfortunately, within 2 weeks the pole broke away from the very thin base. We decided to place it lengthwise on the floor as it gave them a good stretch out but 2 weeks later the sisal had ripped apart and unravelled so we had mess everywhere. Great pole for the cats but poor quality means it's a waste of money for 2-4 weeks use.

Poor copy of the original. Not as high or wide and is falling to pieces after only one week of use. Had two originals for years and this one was meant as a replacement but is of a far poorer standard. Bring back the original version!

I've had two of these for years and they were brilliant and are still going strong. I ordered this one for my sister, it came and it's a lot smaller in width and height and is falling to pieces after only a week of use! Bring back the old version.

I have bought this post before or so I thought, when it came it was a lot smaller. My large Maine Coon cats are too big for it, they loved their old ones and now I will have to look elsewhere for another one. Nothing was written that it was smaller, and as I have purchased some before I never looked at the reviews. I am very disappointed that I thought I was buying what I have bought before

have bought this post many times now and getting totally fed-up with the quality, doesn't last any length of time. my two ragdolls use it on daily basis but after a couple of weeks it starts to fall apart, the sisal rope is only wound round and not glued so after time the rope snaps and leaves a mess. honestly please don't waste your money, very very poor quality.

On previous/similar versions the sisal started closer to the top. This starts 8" from the top consequently if my two cats (4kg, not monsters) stretch their claws are above the sisal. Instead they don't stretch as much and the top few inches show all the wear and the sisal is coming off in less than three months. I normally replace every year so this feels like poor value.

Why are these getting SMALLER I bought one 3-4 years ago and my cats loved it! I have two Adult Maine Coons and they would climb up and scratch have ordered a replacement and I am so disappointed so very very small in comparison!!!! I would rather have the original big size and pay more than this tiny one that my cats hate!

My order has just arrived & I had to contact CS as it is not what I ordered, I expected the post to be like the post I purchased previously.No where did it say that the original post had been replaced with an inferior one.The older one I thought I'd ordered is a thicker post with more scratching area & a square base, the one I received is thinner & has hardly any scratching area. No use for my 2 large cats.Zooplus should say if they have substituted an item.This one is going back :-(
