Cats only like the jelly!

I got this because it is grain free and I wanted to see if it helped with Suki's runny bum, but she just licks off the jelly! Even Muchacho, who is NOT fussy, rejects this food. The chunks of meat look like the cheap stuff, all uniform sizes, nothing like the Sheba or other brands that they are used to. (cant work out how to add my photo of the bowl of cat food with the jelly licked off...)

Only if starving

I was very hopeful for this brand Unfortunately not their taste

Cats love it

My 5 cats just love these pouches in sauce and gobble them up. They don't like the jelly version though, but my friend's cats did.

Both cats love these pouches!

I have one cat that will eat almost anything, whereas my ball of floof is a tad more fussier. I like the fact this is grain free and my cats tummy's are much happier too. Great value for money and nice variety of flavours

Is very good

My cat love this food

5 stars from Poppy

Well...at long last a wet food ( the vegetable and egg jelly pouches) that my fussy diva has actually enjoyed! Normally will only eat chicken related products BUT she eats all of these up. I share the packet between morning and evening feed...no waste! What a change!

3 greedy cats wouldn’t eat it!

Such a shame as it sounded to be a good food. None of the cats would eat it and they are not usually fussy!

Cats Hated It

Bought this brand hoping that my cats might appreciate something different...but they absolutely hate it. A few nibbles and it was abandoned, I had to put Felix down in the end.

They love it but

Both our cats loved it but they would constantly be hungry and begging for more..... not cost effective.

My 2 cats LOVE it!

I bought this as a cheap alternative for my 7yr old and 1yr old cat - I’ve fed them everything from Sheba to whiskas. My 7 yr old is realllllly fussy and prefers Sheba over anything and always leaves some - since getting this I’m suprised at how much they both love it, especially as it was cheap - I shall defo be buying it again

"nop, eat it yourself"

My cat loves Catessy but since it's sold out i bought these pouches. I thought my cat will enjoy fresh meal every time. Nop. Sniffed and refused to eat any of 4 flavours. Gave it to someone else to try (their cats eats everything). One said "NO" aswell. Another one ate it. What a waste of money.

The cats didn't like it

To start with, this was a first for my cats, they liked it to start with, it was the ones in Jelly. But after a while they went right off of it. It didn't look too great either. They didn't like the smell of it, it didn't smell of meat. Not a product I will buy again.

Made my cat sick

He was sick straight after eating this and every time after eating this ,put him on cooked chicken for a few days sickness stopped ,tried this food again and he just brought the whole lot up again...something in this food makes him sick ..

A Healthier Alternative

Goes down pretty well and no sugar means it's good for his teeth (and belly). Only criticism is that the pouches seem to hold a bit less than 100g, so meal times aren't always equal portions unless you open another pouch!

Very Good

My cat loves it

My cats love the jelly version

My cats always loved Lidl premium pouches, but I couldn't always get them. One thing that impressed me is that there are no sugars it it, but it contains inulin (a prebiotic fibre) I realised that Catessy pouches are the same thing as Lidl pouches. Save me a drive to Lidl and I can have it delivered to my door (not to mention that Lidl often sell out of the jelly ones)

It's fine.

It's as good as whiskers. So really good value for money. The chunks are quite big though. Not as good as Felix but as good as whiskers. Really good as a standby.

Cats would not eat.

It looks like good quality food and I'm sure it is but unfortunately none of my 3 cats would eat it and they aren't normally very fussy. I got 2 bags and they were wasted. :-(

Good value

My cat enjoys the sauce version, glad to see it back again!! Good value for money. Cat enjoys them, will be back for more.

19 year old cat loves this

My 19 year old cat became very fussy and went off his supermarket bought cat food. His health check was fine so I decided to buy various taster packs from zooplus to see if any of them were to his fancy. He chose Catessy over all the others, including expensive options like royal canin (which he refused to touch at all). It might not be food specifically designed for older cats with all those extra fancy ingredients the more expensive brands have, but what good is all that if your cat doesn't eat it? He loves this food and it gives him everything he needs, plus the sauce keeps his fluid levels up.

Bizarre

I have 3 cats who aren’t usually picky, but none of them want to eat these… They sniff them and walk away straight away.

Garden tomcat is happy

A stray tomcat has taken up residence in my garden and gets fed every day. He really likes Catessy, but my own cats won’t touch it. So that doesn’t say anything about the quality of the food, just about the individual tastes of the cats. I’ll keep buying and feeding it.

Terrible

The cat who usually eats absolutely everything wouldn’t go near this, not even from a distance. She ran away and started getting all worked up in the flat every time I opened a new pouch. At least she ended up on a kibble-only diet for a while. Never seen anything like it. Really makes you wonder what’s in there... PS: cats are carnivores, whose idea was it to overload “fish” with a bunch of spinach...

Phenomenal food

Excellent food, my cats absolutely love it. The food comes out perfectly from the pouch, unlike some other wet foods. Not a single piece is left inside the pouch.

Runs out, gets eaten

She’s a bit slow to start eating it, but once she gets going, my cat finishes every last bite. The good thing is that it’s sugar-free.

Unfortunately, my tomcat didn't like it

My tomcat usually isn’t very picky and the ingredients look decent at first glance. Unfortunately, he didn’t like this food at all!

Cats don’t like it

The same manufacturer has another jelly-based option that all three of our cats loved, but it’s been out of stock for a while now. Hopefully it’ll be back soon. We tried this as a replacement, but none of them would eat it. And honestly, I’m not surprised. Why do they have to mix in things like tomato, spinach, etc.? These foods are meant for cats, not people!
