Excellent size!I originally bought this for a trio of dwarf hamsters who had sadly spent the first year of their little lives in rescue so I thought they deserved to be spoilt. They loved it! The narrow bars were ideal as my dwarfies were very small and would have escaped from a normal 1cm barred cage. Sadly; the trio have now all passed on and my Syrian hamster is now living in this cage. She too loves it. She is very active (like many Syrians!) and so this cage is perfect for her. This cage is great as you can use it for any hamster from the teeny Roborovski to the large Syrian hamster. It would also be a great cage for mice. However; I did find the shelves very awkward to fit and I painted them with child-safe paint as otherwise they would have got very smelly very quickly. I also find the way the cage fits to the plastic base a little awkward and ended up cracking mine slightly when the little tab holding the barred section on wouldn't come apart easily. These two reasons are why I gave it four stars rather than five.

you rockas a breeder this cage would be very good for dwarf hamsters. i have now got round about 16 hamsters and have brought 3 of these cages because they are so good! luvin them luv avril and hamsters p.s put this in please i am only 10 but still breed!

good- with a few drawbacksMy hagen livingworld came on time, but the packaging was split at the seam. We have already sent a e-mail to zooplus about it, and they were very prompt at replying. Also, the two little wooden houses were missing, and they said they will have to order the parts, and it will take up to 6 weeks for them to be delivered. (It is quite hard to put together, but well worth it) APART FROM THAT, THIS IS A BRILLIANTLY HUGE CAGE AND WELL WORTH BUYING!

EXCELLENT CAGE - LOADS OF SPACE!This cage is huge and takes up a lot of room, but my 3 gerbils love it as there is so much room for them. The cage is very easy to clean and is easy to access for food/water changes. Its £70odd well spent in my book and has made my gerbils very happy!

Extremely spacious - great layoutMy hamster loves this - it's the biggest cage I've seen for small animals and well worth it I think. The furniture supplies makes good use of the space, and we managed to put it all together without too much fuss.

At last a decent sized cage for small rodentsThis is something like a proper sized cage! I thought we would end up having to make our own cages as I really wanted our hamster and mice to have at least 3 feet by 2 feet to run around in. It arrived yesterday and we put it together without too much fuss. The platforms and little wooden houses are ideal. The hamster has investigated all parts of it with gusto. I'll be getting another for the two mice when I can afford it - I think it's worth it to see them having so much area to move about in.
