Its GREAT!!!! yea rust's a bit but take care of it and it will last! all that matter is that the rats like it!

Quality needs workMy cage came without a set of chains so I had to order them directly from the manufacturer. I have since gone through 4 sets of chains in 8 months due to them just rusting away and snapping through ammonia from the rats which really should have been taken into account when the cage was made although I have sent the rusted ones to the manufacturer so it is possible that future ones will be much sturdier. There is also a problem with the shelves as the plastic screw-in clips lose the ability to unscrew as the threads snap after only a few removals for washing so now I cannot move them around or get easy access to clean them thoroughly. The water bottle has long since been thrown away as the clip was incapable of holding it up and it leaked constantly and the metal food bowls split open to expose jagged edges where they've rusted and been squeezed by the holder so they've gone too. That being said my rats do love their cage and the room for hanging hammocks and rope nets so while the metal used could stand for a lot of improvement at least the bars make escape extremely difficult (unless they learn to push up to open the doors which my previous rats did) and there is plenty of room inside.

VERY GOOD ! Xthe jenny rat cage is very good. I have 3 female rats in it and they have loads of room. Theres space to put in loads of toys but i recommend buying a bed , house or somewhere that your rats can sleep otherwise they have to sleep in the tubes which looks quite uncomfortable. One problem only and that is that the door on the front of the cage is very small and you cant reach everywhere so it is quite hard to get the rats out of. My rats love it!

A dreadful cageRubbish cage, especially for the price. The bars are very poor quality, they bend easily and become rusty very quickly which makes them difficult to clean. The access is awful so daily spot cleaning and even feeding is a nightmare. I'd hate to have nervous rats in here, you'd never get them out! The supplied bottle is bigger than really necessary for rats and the clip to hold it is weak, so the bottle slides about and water is wasted. About the only good thing is the bar spacing, it's nice and narrow so good for babies. For this price (or significantly less) you can get a much nicer, sturdier, bigger cage, so I simply don't know why anyone would buy the Jenny.

Good Quality CageI have 2 female rats in this cage and it is very roomy. I recomend this cage for anybody who has 2 or more rats. Alot of space to hang hammocs and other toys. However it would be better with bigger doors. And it also did nor come with chains to hang up the tubes. Overall really good cage for 2-4 rats.

SUPER JENNY RAT CAGEIt is BRILLIANT! My 3 males have loads of room, and have hammocks everywhere! Its easy to change things round as well! I honestly recommend it, for size and its actual inner strength to hold them bossy males in. Females will enjoy it too I suppose, because it is made to hold lively, mad rodents in. Enjoy your rat cages!

starter cageIt's ok for a starter cage, the bars started rusting after only a month. I adapted the front door with a large one you can buy online, very easy to do, to improve access for cleaning. Rats do enjoy it but i'm already looking for a new one and the main feature has got to be plastic coating on the bars.

Jenny Rat Cagei bought this cage about 5 years ago for a ferret and since them i have kept rats in it and am now keeping lovebirds in it without the tubes and shelves. i think its a good long lasting cage that always has a purpose.

Good cageThe Jenny has it's ups and its downs. It is a good size for up to four female rats, and is plenty tall enough to allow lots of room to climb. The base size is good, big but not so big to take up your entire room. It is easy to dismantle and clean. On the other hand, the wire is a lot less rigid and sturdy than other cages, easier to dent and damage, so be careful moving the cage. The wire is uncoated so can be hard to clean and gets dirty after a while. Also be careful how you affix the shelves to ensure no little critters can fall very far...I find it best to modify this with a full-length plastic shelf, then just accessorise with the half-length shelves. All in all, a decent cage, but if you're going in for a lifetime of rat keeping you might want something sturdier..

ProblemsI have kept two female rats in a Jenny cage for 8 months. The major problem is that they have chewed holes in the base (in the corners). I can also see the first signs of the bars rusting and agree that access is not as good as it could be.
