Tom Rat Cage GREAT!!!!!!!This cage is great my 2 male rats love it!!!!! The only con is it did not come with clips but was easily fixed with a drill and wire. There is plenty of room for hammoks ropes etc, The big door is a great size for getting them out for a cuddle, The bowl is huge!!!! lasts 2 weeks with a full bowl!!! Water bottle broke (by accident)easily replaced. Overall a great purchase.

Great cage- very poor service from zooplusThe cage is great and my rats love it, but as some of the reviews below say, the clips were missing. The base of the cage was also damaged and I requested a replacement. The clips arrived fairly quickly but I have just received the base this week after waiting over 6 MONTHS!! Absolutely ridiculous.

wonderfull BUTwonderfull rat cage, but missing some thing so its not that on the picture. but it is wonderfull and i and my rats i happy for that buy. and the packet was in danmark kvickly, like 5 days after my order.

Great cage with nice big doorThis cage got a lot of bad reviews because the manufacturer does not seem to be able to count the clips that go into the packaging. So I contacted zooplus and asked them to check the package before dispatch. This they did and the cage arrived in perfect condition with the correct number of clips. I also did not have any difficulty with the clips if you twist the plastic sideways and slide it into the locked position rather than pushing really hard to force them on front-ways (won't make sense until you see the clips). The door size is what swung this for me. You can get into spot clean the cage without taking the whole thing apart, and you can reach right in to stroke the ratties - just great!

Very good, value for moneyI got this cage when it was on sale and it was the best £70 i ever spent. Delivery was prompt. only prob with cage is that the tubes/tunnels and the levels dont have any clips for attachment so a little diy drilling and wire is neede but other than that a perfect cage for rats. i now have five boys in mine!

brill cage,very very poor service!!!!i bought our tom rat cage in october 08.on arrival we found no decent instructions,it's simple enough,but NO CLIPS FOR CORNER PLATFORMS!!!! absouloutley awfull customer service and took over 10 weeks for replacements. why not design same as others with built in fixings??. wouldn't like to reconmend to a friend as they would not be friends for long,with such crap service. sorry but true.

Excellent cage- Rubbish customer serviceThe cage is brilliant. Big front door means it's easy to access, especially with new and young rats. Easy to clean too. HOWEVER- Mine arrived 5 months ago without clips for the shelving. I've been on at Zooplus for ages and had no reply. Absolutely rubbish customer service.

Excellent valueAn excellent cage and very good value for money. I had no problems with shelf clips, unlike other reviews on here. The only slight problems were minor damage during transport (cage needed to be bent back into shape somewhat), as the terrible quality of the water bottle! The cage is *very* roomy, plenty of room for hammocks, ropes and ratty toys. Not quite a perfect cage, would have been nice to have a second door on the roof of the cage, but apart from that, you cannot go wrong with this cage! Highly recommended for upto 4 rats!

Missing clipsBit of a theme here I love the cage however last October it arrived damaged and no clips.After several contacts still no replacement clips or tray took away the pleasure of a new cage for mt girls :(

Great cage, shame about the customer serviceThe cage is great. I have 2 rats and there is plenty of space for them and various hanging toys and hammocks. However 3 months later I am still waiting for the missing clips to attach the corner shelves. I have not been impressed with the after sales customer service provided by zooplus.

Tom Rat cageVery pleased with this cage, it is very spacious and I like the fact that the bars are coated. My 2 old boys love it. However, each shelf really needs 4 clips to attach them properly but only 4 in total are sent (so 4 short) Also my cage came very damaged and am currently waiting for a replacement tray which I'm told will take 6 weeeks! Packaging and choice of courier could definitely do with a bit of a re-think.

good once set up!the tom rat cage was delivered very quickly and made a great christmas present but it didnt come with any instructions just a ripped picture of the cage and it didnt have any clips to attach the shelves so until they sent me some new ones my rats only had the base of the cage. Now set up its a great cage and can easily fit 3 maybe 4 rats in! i recommend it!

Missimg PartsI bought this cage in October. The first one was never delivered and it took over 2 weeks to get a replacement. This came and is an excellent large cage, the rats love it especially the tubes. The shelves came minus the clips, which zoo plus said they would replace. It is now the end of December no clips - after sales service is very poor hence the low score.

Great design, poor quality!The tom-cage's basic design is great! Our rats enjoy the cage and we enjoy the easy access that the large door gives. A pity both our cages had missing clips and broken corners due to wrong packaging from manufacturers side. Bad Stuff: Weak plastic, clips on ladder/stairs won't stay in place, small rats can squeeze out in the bottom of the door (should be hinged in 4 spots, not just each end), drinking bottle is useless, the "long" shelf needs a support underneath as it is far too weak and having to wait up to 2 months to be able to attach the cornershelves. Good Stuff: Large door, good size and design. I strongly advise zooplus to have a chat with Marchioro on improving the cage's quality and to give it better packaging, I'd gladly pay 10 - 20£ extra, if the quality was up'ed.
