Definitely increases safety!

I read the first review and was slightly put off buying one of these, but it fits my window quite well and definitely helps to reassure me that my cat will remain safe in my absence; I need to leave my windows open throughout the summer months as it gets incredibly hot indoors! If you live in a house or apartment and need to keep your cat away from the open windows, I would definitely recommend one of these! The instructions aren't that good, but the assembly process is pretty straightforward! The only negative thing I would say it that the sides are quite flimsy and although brackets are included in the package, no suitable screws are. This problem is easily fixed though!

Bernina tilt/turn window cover

Totally inadequate fitting instructions..virtually non-existent. No instructions regarding fixing of side pieces to window frame and no screws/instructions for this supplied. Not even clear how the guard stays in place. No fittings/brackets supplied for 'no niche' fitting. Cannot fit inside frame for a UK tilt/turn window due to window bracket. All in all a disaster, not fit for the purpose as supplied.
