Instability a big design problem
I bought this as a second cat tree for my two adult Bengals - I'd already got the Ares, which is absolutely brilliant. I'm very disappointed with the design of this one, as the 'den' and the hammock both being on top of a single pole means the tree is very unstable. The middle of the scratching poles was very 'loose' and wobbly from the start even when screwed as tight as it would go, and has a pronounced lean with a cat's weight on it. The tree has fallen over several times with poor Bailey sleeping in the hammock. Will have to re-site and fasten to the wall which means placing it in an inconvenient spot. :(

This'll test it!
Bought this for my 9 indoor cats. 7 Devon Rex maniacs, a Sphynx who is enormous just bounces everywhere & 2 Moggies just as mad! Had it for 2 days it's started to wobble so I've put it in a corner. Great value for money, good quality but I don't expect it to last long with my lot!

BrillianT!
Our two 'Cattens' (Teenage cats) love this!
They claw it - jump on it - swing off the rope - fall off it and look embarassed!
It does wobble and the hammock is starting to look a bit strained as they are still both squeezsing onto it to sleep!
All in all brilliant value - similar from Tesco £70 ish.
Spot on :)

Good value for money
This is a cheap scratching post and it does its job. I have two siamese and have to weight it at the base to prevent it from tippling over. I have had two now, as the screw/plastic that holds the hammock eventually goes, but what can you expect from something that is towards the bottom of the price list? No real complaints, however, I am going to try a more expensive and sturdy one next.

My cat loves this tree...
...espcially the little hammock at the top. It's very good value for money and better quality than you would find in most pet stores. There is a design flaw in that the tree is too high for the base, so it is a bit unstable - especially for bigger cats jumping and climbing up the side pols. Ours is stood against the wall for added stability and seems to be fine.
I can also add that I had awesome service from the zooplus guys in sorting out my order.

Brilliant
This cat tree is perfect for my two kittens they chase eachother up and down all day then snuggle in to sleep at night. I do feel I may have to weight it as my kittys grow but for now im amazed at the quality for such an excellent price

Be Warned
I have bought 2 of these and thought what a bargain, but both of them have now broken so I have had to reduce the size of them with what wasn't broken. Much better to pay for a shorter one in the first place.

Emile loves this!
My kitten Emile adores his new cat tree, he is forever on it, sleeping in the hammock and prancing up and down! He disappears into the sleeping bit so you can't see him and then finds great amusement my leaping out and surprising you. Brill purchase especially for the price! Only bit he doesn't use is the rope as it is too heavy to be whacked around but that doesn't seem to bother him! Also the box it came in is much loved by him and my boyfriend is insisting we keep it to make a wendy house for the cat as he's forever charging around that too. Would recommend :-)

Value for money
I bought this item for my two cats and they are crazy about it. Especially the hammock at the top. The only complaint is its stability. I am worried one day I will come home and it would be knocked over on the floor. I look for ways to reposition it or anchor it but it still needs some design issues to be resolved.

Great fun for cats and kittens
I love this cat tree, at first i got it due to the price but once assembled i must admit i was more than impressed. The cat and kittens love it and although it may be a little wobbly its not the end of the world putting it in a more suitable spot such as near a wall.

Wobble adds to the fun!!!
I bought this for my cat Charlie. Yes it is a bit unstable but she hasn't knocked it over yet!!!! She uses all the scratch posts and loves to lookout from the top nest. Good quality.

Good value but...
This is the 5th tree I have purchased for our 6 cats. It was a lot cheaper than all the others and serves its purpose - however, we have had to fix it to the wall. It is fairly unstable and even when fixed the flat platform tends to wobble. Worth its money but it does need extra support.

A Bit Wobbly
I've watched my 2 cats playing on this and it isn't very stable. If one of them sleeps in the hammock at the top it all leans over. Wouldn't use it free standing - needs to be against the wall.

Good Cat Tree but has some stability problems
Good product, great price. It needs a wider base to accommodate the more leap-and-hope temperament of cat, but that's the only reason it didn't get 5 stars. (I've retrofitted my old tree's wider base to it and it works fine).

Easy to put together but unstable
Good quality materials and easy to put together. But the whole tower is very rickety. I've weighed down the base with a 20 liter bag of litter but it still wobbles and twists whenever my cat re-positions herself.
However she uses it every day, so if the unstable-ness could be sorted this would be a fabulous bargain.

Unstable
I bought this thinking it would be perfect for my two cats who both love to scratch & love sitting somewhere up high, unfortunately the design of this cat tree means that as soon as one of them jumped on it the tree fell over, the base is no wider than the rest of the tree so there is no stability.

Unstable
This is the 4th tree I have bought from Zooplus, and not up to the design standard of the others. It has toppled over several times - I have many cats- and wobbles precariously! The rope is useless, but the cats love the hammock. The Bruno is better!

Extremely good value for money
I am very pleased with this item: excellent quality, very well thought and extremely good value for money.
I didn't even have time to put it up that my kitten was playing with it already and he absolutely loves it! Thanks zooplus, not regret in buying the Athena cat tree. I highly recommend it to other cat owners.

Wow!
Brought this as a replacement to the old scratch post. Very resonable price compaired to what I had found in my local stores.
Have always had a problem finding a scratch post that's tall enough for my cats and am thrilled to have found this! I'm 5ft 5 and it's as tall as me! Claude was scratching on it as I was trying to put it together and then had a good climb once it was all assembled. Jet's had a good scratch on it as well - takes up little floor space.

Worth Every Penny!!
We love our new cat tree. It is quite tall, but doesn't take up much floor space. Tilly loves to sleep on the 2nd platform whilst Poppy sleeps in the hammock. We love it so much that we have stopped playing on the sofa and spend more time sleeping on the cat tree than cuddling mummy & daddy.
